It would be so sweet if differing victory paths supported different play styles. I remember someone complaining that his 4x game was more like a 3x. Civ5 touches on that when you have to choose early on whether to expand (ruling out a social victory) or not (making defense and diplomacy more important than military build-up), and FE has the potential to implement this nicely. Interested more in the exploring aspect of the game? Then funnel resources in

How much do the mod tools let you tweak spells? For example, can you have spells require more than one shard to use, and have negative consequences for the caster (like being "winded," losing the following turn's movement). Can you drain a % of heath rather than a fixed number? There are tons of ways to make spells meaningful and powerful without being OP--the issue is whether modding allow you creative options to balance them. If it lets you do these things, I'd be

Understood, Heavenfall. There's only so much you can do, and it's tough to be motivated when things are broken beyond your control. Like I alluded to, it's still an awesome accomplishment to have done so much with the content (and I only use your mods, btw--haven't tried any others, and probably won't). You probably know this, but I'll mention it anyway. Balancing units and spells is laborious, but not too difficult if one has the right tools, a dec
I'm fairly confident that this mod has reached its potential. There are things I would like to do, that are not possible due to the game limiting me. And there are things that I'd like to do, that are simply not worth the time (primarily 3d models).
Sad to hear this, since I recently discovered your game fixes (as well as the factions and dungeons mods) and am loving them--I still find it strange that you

Ah, thanks for the referral--I'll check into it right away. The idealist in me would rather stay away from mods and see the game as I bought it get polished, but that's impractical, heh. I'll grab fixes and be grateful, regardless of the source, especially if well-tested and thoughtful feedback can see real improvements.

Hi there, devs and fellow gamers. It's exciting to see so much of this game's potential shining through. Though most likely these points are being discussed elsewhere, perhaps some of my input will be of value. --Game pace Lessening the maximum armies in a stack truly helped. Battles are more manageable, and the player has to more carefully choose which units to bring. Especially in the early game, the pace is quick/involving while still having
