As I mentioned, this morning I bought Demigod from Impulse. I started playing a skirmish match against the AI. I followed Tom Chick's advice of making the speed adjustable, and then reducing the speed to a crawl. I forgot to set the difficulty to easy, however. Soon, I grew bored watching everyone moving in slow-motion, so I set the speed back to normal. I then found that I did, indeed, suck. I had to get to work, so I stopped the game.

I was just at a Gamestop, and I saw Demigod sitting on the PC games shelf. I asked a salesman if this was out already, and he said "it seems to be." Odd.

I'm only an hour or so in to Killzone 2 , and so far it's a fun first person shooter. It "feels" a bit like the Call of Duty games, where you are flung into the middle of huge and hectic battles. I do hear people complain about Steam as well, but I've found it to work well. Okay, so why am I starting this blog? First, it's free. Second, I rather like Stardock and Impulse. I have Galciv 1 & 2 and Sins of a Solar Empire , and I can honestly say that Stardock has yet to have let me down. Of course, I haven't tried Demigod yet (innocent whistling). Impulse also works very well. I especially appreciate the fact that it doesn't need to be running all the time, like Steam (which I also love). <p
