Normally, most games are fairly intuitive to me. This one hasn't been. I've tried the Campaign, and I can't quite figure it out. It needs a much better tutorial mission that teaches you everything for all the races.
O/T This has nothing to do with the post, and their are plenty of threads it does relate to. I was thinking that it would be cool if during the game, there could be a chance that a unit can upgrade itself into a champion. I'm not saying every unit should have the ability but it could be a rare event, it would add an interesting event I at least think. A hero through the ranks or some such.

The game is good looking and fun to play, even with all its faults. Once the technical issues are resolved it will not take long to balance things up.. If not for the issues hanging over it, EWOM would be a superior game for both vanilla settings and the potential of the modding. All I'm g

However, they also talk abot what they are going to improve themselves, there are threads from devs on it that you can look at. https://forums.elementalgame.c
I loved MoM as well as anyone, but it ws a buggy mess on release and didn't finally get patched up till a year after release.

I have two computers sitting on my desk, so my need to alt-tab is negligible, so it's a non-issue to me, or I could just run it in a window, which is fine. The only other bug I get is the one where the sound cuts out periodically. It's worked fine for me since the 0-day beyond

I'm not sure what you mean by unplayable? I can play no problem, there are balance issues, but those will get ironed out. Some people seem to be still having crashes, I'm lucky in the fact that it doesn't happen to me. But, you are entitled to your own opinion.

Here's the list of games Blizzard worked on, but cancelled so as to not damage their reputation:
