Hi, when setting up new software (new pc here, lots of installs) 'recently installed items' and even 'all apps' in Start 11 are NEVER up to date. Is there any way to trigger an update so I can add a newly installed app to the start menu immediately?

What happened to good old shortcuts though? ;-)
Pretty much this is what start 11 does in many ways.
And still most people here only use it to switch back to windows 7 startmenu-style. And this will remain 'til the end of days unless WindowBlinds finally is able to skin other menu-styles and skinners using that.

You can't complain a software doesn't work with another that is HEAVILY changing and patching original system files. Heck, R11 ist not even able to restore the system to it's original state when uninstalling leaving the system in a mess. I had to restore from a backup I made beforehand.
This is the desktop of my main private laptop as of today. I have pretty much given up on Windowblinds as there are too many inconsistencies for me to bare And I don't want to be forced to use a Windows 7 style startmenu 'til the end of days to fit a skin. So I tweaked Start 11 to my liking (got rid of any dock-software as a side-effect) and keep my desktop clean. Rainmeter and some usability tools, that's it. Seen here Directory Opus and in explorer a small private project enhanci

Try searching on the internet for Regex and you will find a wealth of articles and How-to tutorials on the subject. Users are often let alone with that resulting using only parts of the real rich functionality of th

Yes, Win 11 but Startmenu in the middle. Windows Pro Style.
Do You have the logo used in the start button as a hi-res file? I really would like to do a start 11 with it. The WB one is looking a bit out of place on my resolution.

Yeah, it's quite confusing.
it is better forget the windows and search alternate stable OS like Linux. Recent days Windows completely non user friendly.
I am in the IT sector since 1990 and that didn't work all this time, although I would have got rich for 5 $ for everyone claiming we should all 'switch to Linux' in the meantime.
I will be impressed if it does things like 'Create gadget showing system ressources with 6 cores and 4 harddisks using skin XY'. ;-P
Very sad. :-(
There are also several plugins for other browsers that can do this.
For Windows 11 the answer would be Rectify . Not sure if there ist someting similar for 10.
Are these shadows somewhat or part of the skin? And if, is there a version without those?
Maybe it is just me but I'd expect the interface to change to what we have in other apps over time.-
