I was confused because Salted Pork has nothing in the XML which seems to make it "appear" in the shop yet it does. Does this mean there is an improvement somewhere that allows Salted Pork to unlock?

One Idea that I would like to tinker with is random encounters. For this mod, it goes back to old school RPG's. There aren't any monsters that spawn on the map. I have played old games when slimes and ghosts carried herbs and gold, and remembered the first games which saw monsters giving items instead. That was much funner because even though the end result was the same, it felt like you were interacting with the world. I think it would be "more fun" if items like 5 wolf pelts could be taken to town and "traded" for a leather armor. It would also be nice if you could take an item and sell it for 2 crystal

Guys, the 2 essence on pools is indeed too much. Instead, I created a building that gives 1 essence, and a "wonder" which upgrades from it that gives 2 essence. It helps a lot, and doesn't break the game. And to give credit where due, Parrottmath made the Female Henchmen mod, and I can't function well without it. I disagree. I normally have 2 armies, which feature exactly 1 hero, and 3-5 other troops depending on equipment, needs and other things. I can't be bothered to have 2 heroes in an army together unless one has Trainer.

The prices are way off, one thing I am guilty of is carrying around 20-30 animal pelts and drops because Im too lazy to walk a unit home to shop, and when I do, I never find it beneficial "enough" to click "sell" a bunch of times to actually sell my crap. I realized after reading this post that all my heroes and villains carry a wagon of crap with them because I don't even bother selling it. Drat, I forgot a few. Space between cities = 5. That's the way I roll. Larger maps = more space for AI, meaning more peace and expansion before war, meaning more developed AI nations. Can Arcane Monolith be "rewired" to "Crystal"? Post your code and I will see if I can make something work. I can't guarantee it will work but if it does, we will all have more fun because of it. This mod is wonderful and I use it all the time. It is great fun, and lets you control your cities in different ways. There are a few things to watch out for, however. 1.
