Yes, i did have two events going on.. A disease, and a plague, But curing them did not seem to fix the thing.. I will go back and double check it... I did not notice the first one.. and then the other one got piled on.

I have had this bug happen a few times now, and have found zero way of resolving it other than going back to an earlier save. This has happened in sandbox, with out using mods.. and using mods. Basically what happens, Suddenly i notice my logistics is At zero.. I can't build fleets, and my existing fleets, loose all their ships. All that is left is a Zero number indicator, were the fleet was.. I
Ok, i looked through that tech tree thing, It is hard to tell, but it seems like there is just one tech tree? I am not sure how the different AI's and different tech tree's work.. I did see those values, and life support read 15 or started at that i think, maybe 14.. anyways, they do change a bit, like go up by 1 or 2 on a level. I was also looking at other techs, and they had similar numbers. I wonder, would just adding
Here's something we can agree on. Let's end farm subsidies. All of them. Let's kill ethanol subsidies while we're at it. They cause all sorts of problems in the US and should have died a generation ago. But let's do it with the full knowledge that ending farm subsidies hurts the poor disproportionately in the short term by raising basic food prices.
&nb
ok, One thing i am wondering... The AI, and the need to research lifesupport. How do they decide that they need it? does the AI know that they have less range and might be more apt to research it? Granted this is my first play through so i'm not sure how well they are playing with the changes. I have noticed a few races, Terrans being one which are typically great expanders, being stuck with just a few planets.

Oh..and it's US 'multi-national' Supermarkets undercutting the local growers. .
this right here is a huge problem, and much of it has to do with Certain Giant manufacturers getting money to subsidize lower prices. their prices are really not lower, they are just getting Big money from other people to do what they do
A quick update.. I got my life support modded up, first two levels are 5, this lets you put 2+ sensor in your first scout ship. this let's you get about 3.5 sectors away from a planet. I also upgraded the minors. I did a bunch of life support only testing this weekend, now i am giving the first real game a shot. I'll let you know how it works out.
Just doling out money will not solve anything. I see poor people in the grocery store all the time buying Doritos and Pepsi with their food stamps. Why am I paying for that? I don't know them. I don't care about them. Why the hell am I paying for their Pepsi? I'm sorry if it sounds harsh but poor people are poor because of the choices they make. ok.. thanks for the info
the funny thing... the things he does, Is what i did in an MMO for 8+ years... SWG.. Had tons of stuff you could do with out ever killing a thing. Hanging out in cantina's dancing. hunting, making items, giving directions, tours, hanging out with new people.. If more people played like your son.. the MMO's would be much more interesting
I don't wan't to get into this deep as you all seem too :P yes corporations paying their workers better would fix many problems. But this is the way i see it.. Detroit suffered from many things, and one of the main causes was from the bills passed in the 90's that started hundreds of thousands of factories to move over seas.. as the Car companies and major manufacturing moved out of the mid west and many other places to fuel over seas easy money.. that
I found these scripts in the other main races files.. 100 50 100 100 But there is a difference, Every main AI, has AIAbilities set to 50, CPUUsage is set to 0.. Wh

And the main map in top right looks intriguing; the hexagons are bigger there. I hope at least that map will be 3d. all right.. after playing with Life-support for hours.. I am defiantly having issues getting it to work the way i want. If i use the negative number, you really have to crank it up to shorten the base planet range. -150 to see a decent distance, -200-300, to really shorten it up. -300 is basically the starter culture border you start with. But if i change those numbers to the high numbers, i run into a secondary problem. To get lif
FYI, the Range value is different than what you thought. I played with it a bit, and -300, is basically 9 squares, your planet in the center square, then the square around you. It looks like -50 is One square.. I think i will set minors as -300, and then the rest of us at -200. see how that goes for now. It might really give people that are off and alone a big disadvantage though.. but i guess as it should right? at least in m
Oh sweet, I am so doing this for my next game! Hmm maybe i will just do a little editing and start a new game.. It is a rainy Friday and i got nothing better to do. Ok, i think i get it. Basically i need to manually make each minor the way i want it, so i can really make a mix of many types. So basically i should just make a duplicate AP1 folder, and play in that one.. basically Ap1_my_tweaks <p
"standard technique"? way to burst my bubble of being a genius! I not sure i understand how trading tech you researched with everyone is and exploit, even tech's you did not research.. Get a very good tech, that someone just researched, before they can spread it to the galaxy, you do, or maybe they did not wan't to spread it in the first place.. Unleashing the tech on the galaxy. I must say after playing that fix mod you recommended for the evening, seems like it does a pretty good job. I found trading to be a bit better. It also seems like the AI's techs make a bit more sense. It is still fairly early and not much war has broken out, Most AI's are still on there first teir military techs, aka, just hitting Lasers IV, ect.. Cool, well i just installed the fix one, and we will see how that goes.. Does my fun go up? or down... Maybe i will back off the difficulty back to tough for my first try.
Have you ever played Tropico 4? that game had a very cool editor.. something similar would be wonderfull. It is a very simple script editor, that you basically launch sequences to start/stop events. Very simple game play coding, and leads to tons of options with tweaking all sorts of stuff. the question is how hard would it be to make the tool system.. though that said, the devs could use it in future expansions for there stories.. Take the turn based story te
I like the idea of border sensors.. Sort of like Mini spacestations. I also like the idea someone mentioned about territory. Planets inside territory could be consitered hostile when trying to colonize in someone else territory. I would like the ability to add ships into orbit to protect colonized planets. I think that could solve many issues. the game play could go like this... Pass border sensors,
yes, that time from 95-2000 was interesting.. Keep your eyes pealed for an old copy of Win 2k pro.. I never even bothered with XP cause 2k was so solid. I ended up getting vista like 2 months before win 7 was announced and launched which bugged me to no end. But in the end vista 64 really has been very solid. to date only one game had any issues, and that was a brand new one, and only because they don't support my sound drivers. But i will stay on vista
