It's running agonizingly slow on my machine as well. All the animations are molasses, and choppy FPS. Nice double wammy. Fun to watch a fire ball take 15 seconds to cross the field. The molasses animations bother me more. Core 2 @2.23, ATI 3650, 4GB RAM

We really ned quest info some where. I can't remember them or kept them straight at all.
I think I saw a Bandit attack a Wolf today. This is exactly what I was talking about. They did not do this in beta 2. Admittedly many of the posts here got way off my original suggestion.
Eh, I don't know. It's not a bad idea, but it'd allow you to far too easily to "fortify" a few units in an inn, grab the quest there (and don't complete it) and then rest there whilst attacking an opponent. Then again, that might not be a bad idea on the whole.
I've noticed the heal rate for ending turns in town isn't instant or anything. I don't see it being abusable if it takes a few turns to heal up. Side note: I d
I think there is a good mix of monsters now. Why would all the monsters be weak enough to tackle at the start of a game. There are many weaker monsters about this version to go take on. I'm liking the mix much more my self.
Really, I swear that all my games just greyed out the turn button on 200 for me. Huh.
I don't understand either. Especially since all the other Stats are now whole number increments.
I would prefer that things be WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get), but can see why folk want their sovereigns and champions to look special. Suggestion: have special armor assets that are used for Sovereigns and Champions versus the normal armor assets used for the mere mortal chumps.
I agree with the WYSIWYG camp. I've never understood players who expect to get thier "cool" look with no reguards to what the in ga
I have bad news. I see this all the time at work as a Dell Onsite Tech. Looks like it could be a classic video card death. Check other games. Then try under clocking the GPU and MEMORY. If this is in other games, it is the card. If underclocking makes it go away, the card it still bad, just verifies the problem. *The GUI isn't distorted as that is a 2d object.
Yes, I know that their are healing potions in the world.
So far in my play, only place that units heal if when ending turns while in one of my towns. The world is scattered with Inns. Why not let units heal that end their turns in an Inn? Could even chager 1 gold for the service per night. Sounds fun and cute to me. Also will get rid of the need to haul ones units back across the map just to heal them up.
Was it turn 200? I noticed the game ends on turn 200.
"Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family" Sadly, like I said. I honestly don't know of any games that have been made that support any of the Intel "GPUs", they are intended to provide minimal performance for productivity such as email and office.
You can also see the exact same fog of war patchs from 10 games ago in a screen shot I posted yesterday. Whiles playing at some point the fog of war manages to have some patches stuck on the screen. Once stuck these patchs never go away. ATI 3650 GPU, CAT 10.4
Post your exact Graphics card or lack of? Probably would help. All Intel GPUs aren't. BTW.
From my experience and many other posts. always crashes the game. I don't think it has anything to do with when you .
Just something that seemed a bit silly like, a mistake was made. I found a herd of horses in the woods. The description stated to build your town near this resource for a Food Bonus.
The very same has bothered me from the start.
Still. Asking Beta Testers not to is basicly asking us not to work!
Windowed Mode is permenently ALT-TABBED, of course that works! I like to play all games full screen, but with turned based games I get multitask ADD, and have to check email and such. Or in this case post and read the forums. :)
I am getting the same crash. Just about every time I I get a crash to the desktop with a DX Error ATI 3650. with Cat 10.4
My first suggesting post! Hazah! Ok, one of the issues I've had in just about every game ever made that includes Wandering Monsters is that all monsters attack the player and all monsters are always friendly to eachother. Even when this does not make any sense what so ever. I find game worlds more enaging where NPCs/Monsters that shouldn't be friends aren't. For example the NWN2 PW I helped developed (Obsidian Shore), we had 12 factions of spawned monsters: Hostile, Defender,
#5 Visual Distinctions between Factions. The Beta 2 series will begin to show how factions are different from one another much better. However, we’d love to hear your thoughts on making different factions more distinct and interesting. Bear in mind, from a RAM point of view, it’s not practical for every faction to have a completely different building design setup (when we’re all 64-bit then we can talk about that) <p
