The shortcut didnt create any file by the name you indicated? There are no xml files in the elemental\Impulse Reactor folder, as I say Elemental itself on my machine is actually installed on a different drive to Impulse itself, but I've checked both the game directory and Stardock\impulse directory and there are no files with the name CVPloginresponse. I've even done a file search across all my system and its drives no such

Did it create any xml files? You're sure you looked at the ProgramData folder? It's a hidden folder. Or if you're on XP, it's C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic\ImpulseReactor Please send me the log files if it's actually creating them.
It may be that the auto-login is failing. Two common causes of this are stale data stored in the registry (like if you changed your password or username) or if you purchased Elemental using a different e-mail address than the one currently associated with your Impulse account. To determine the problem, please try this: 1) Create a shortcut to Elemental.exe 2) Right click on the shortcut and choose properties. 3) Click in the target f
Ok, I'm not getting this crash with your map and the latest version, and I'm in 29 turns, so let me know if it shows up again later.
Can you please send me your map with the flag set? I made a map here and got a crash, but there could be multiple causes. Carielf at stardock.com
I see in CoreWorldResources.xml the new tag .5 . Am I correct in assuming this spawns 0.5 resource hoards for every player? Is that a 50% chance for each player, or does 2 players guarantee 1 spawn? Does it calculate how many were placed randomly, before placing additional resources using that tag? Or are those additional spawns, not taking into account how many were placed randomly?
</p
The patch is not out yet.
Hmm,...well, if entries for each of you showed up in the game lobby, that indicates that you were both able to connect to the server. If either of you had lost connection, it would have popped up a dialog. It could have possibly had issues creating the game on the server. I'll try it out later today to see if I can reproduce that. I think that one of our admins had to increase the memory available to the servers last week, so it's possible that the problem has cleared
since this thread seems to be getting some traction, I will ask here: I wanted to play a LAN game with my brother the other day and I remember reading something about our one copy being able to spawn others for LAN play. Well, we had no such luck, even using my friends account we still couldn't get a game to start. So I ask: Is multiplayer down? Can I not use my login twice? If we create another l
So what happens when they hit patch 1.0.9z? What is the next patch after that? 1.0.9aa? 1.0.9.z.a? Something else?
I think that the next sequence would be aa. But I don't think that we'll come to that.

Its all part of my evil plot. There are secret keys in the Prefs.ini file that will turn off the bugs a few at a time so that the day before we release the patch, I can be a hero. :)
Sorry about that. I noticed this a few days ago and I fixed it in such a way that it works for us internally, but I didn't fix it for external users. I'll have that fixed in the next update.
The dynasties are cleared out between games, so it's probably just a display issue.

And there are others you might come up with, but the current system is quite bad in my opinion. Case 2: Resources are hidden and need a tech to make them appear to your eyes... they may be in your territory or they may be not. Only difference, is that with Case 2, the enemies cannot see/use the resources until they get the techs. With Case 1, they can see/use them (depending on spawn) and plan accordiingly to the situation (and later add more resources
Most of the crashes are of the same type, and those are the crashes that a lot of people are getting. We're working on them. There's 3 new ones in that list, but one of those is an easy fix.
When you crash, you don't get properly logged out, so it can take a bit for your previous connection to expire so that you can login again. We're trying to track down the crash on end turn and the saving crash.

Do you have a save game that shows this bug? If you do, please upload it with dropbox or a similar service and reply with the link.
Yes, we'll be hotfixing it today.
Werewindlefr, that's not a bug, that's a feature that hasn't been implemented yet. :) It's planned.

I cannot physically enter their city at that point other than to conquer so no more "special items" from Minors??
