So, let the Sovereigns die of any cause, even very old age, and let their heirs take over (but possibly let you choose who takes the throne).
Let us choose or let them take over in proper succession order.. you can always arrange an "accident" for ones you don't like. Downside to not letting the proper successor retain power would be losing more heirs to get to the one you want. TBH i wouldn't care either way.

EDITED** 550 turns in my sov is 35.. so idk maybe they do die eventually lol would have to be like 10k or so turns in so i doubt anyone has played long enough to find out.
Yeah a big "no thanks" on the main character dying of old age. The dynasty system should provide new rulers if the first one dies, but not replace him/her naturally.
The method of death wasn't really the important point.. its the fact that you have heirs who can never fufill the roll of ruler at this point. Only reason i suggested death from old age is death from combat = loss at this point.. figured it would be a m

I personally don't see an issue with champs at this point.. if you put their stat gains in the right places they can be pretty mean. Melee work on combat speed vit and str maybe some dex ignore the others and equip them well and they turn into pretty mean units.

I'll take this point by point.. my responses in BOLD
I have played a lot of tactical games, starting from a kid playing Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and a lot of RPGs with Dragon Warrior and Zelda. I really think they should, since they also give you the money before the deadline, and haven't really played it due to the problems- so if you're compensating us, I think they should get it also. I think people need to step back and ascertain if they can still tell the difference between fantasy and reality. Games and the real world. Genocide isn't okay but ask the majority of gamers if they have ever razed a city in civ or nuked half the world, or carjacked someone in Grand theft auto. The whole premise of the game involves sending thousands of followers to their deaths and killing the followers of another channeler, yet people who seem okay with that aspect think inbreeding is taking

IIRC A_manaregeneration should be at the bottom of any custom factions you create set to 1. Setting this higher "should" give X mana per turn where X is whatever you set it to.. thats world map turns not tactical though.

Giving us more techs buildings options etc to increase influence would help in building higher influence with a few cities. Pretty much agree with the OP though.. ICS is the only major tactic the AI uses at this point.. well have to see what 1.1 brings though. Should be a bit different with being able to specialize cities more.

I don't get why this is on the list.. its pretty much standard for most 4x and RTS games.. Multiplayer generally entails that you can play against other human controlled opponents in the game. Multiplayer was missing from release and is not yet fully developed as I understand it, so I put this in as a simple and ridiculous sol

Problem is you totally discount those of us who like to play a game with roommates or friends etc just to have fun. Not every game has to be a deathmatch competition. Those of us who want a MP clone of SP are mainly in this catagory.. PBEM would be no different for us than just playing it together other than the added wait of sending each other our moves after each turn... Why everyone insists that everyone who plays multiplayer does so in a competitive way is beyond me. Is someone playing a
