Graphics are fine imo. I am sure this reviewer played one game and did not even finish it. I would have given 5 out of 5 after my first 10 hour play session, but as you play more, you notice the balance and AI issues.
Too good or okay is hard to say, but definately not balanced.

I would not be suprised if the people who are being attacked by the AI using full stacks and good troops are experiencing the research trade bug. The only time the AI actually attacked me properly is when they had 10,000 or 20,000 research knowledge and probably had almost every tech researched in the very early game. Yes, a movement indicator is really needed. It has been asked for a lot on the forums.
This is a game breaking bug for me. I can not play unless this is fixed.
Is there any simple modification I can make the prevent research trading entirely? I play with lots of AIs and having them with 20k+ knowledge is not fun.
Has this been fixed yet? My current game, which is the newest patch, has all the AI with 15,000 or 20,000 in civics research and hundreds in the others.

If you create custom factions to play with, do they have any personality? How do custom faction AI play compared to the standard ones?
It shouldn't take an expansion to add basic features that have been around for a decade...

I bet this has been addressed, but I don't see it. When I mouse over lush it gives the description for ravaged, and when I mouse over ravaged it shows the description for lush. Are the map modes actually switched or just the descriptions?
