Those skath leaders and similar monster types with combat ratings in the 80s and 100s are supposed to be high level boss monsters that are erroneously spawning with the level 1 monsters with 9-20 combat ratings. Keep in mind it's the normal skaths that have low stats, the skath leaders show ridiculous stats from the start. Don't attack the wrong one. And yes at leeboy, the lizard things are called skaths.
It's not a tetris 'minigame', it's a rather sensible restriction. Your city has to be one contiguous block.
Several buildings (lumber mill, fishery) don't follow those rules, and for the ones that do it really is like a tetris minigame as you find a way to snake your city out to the resource you want. I have cities with a single wide string of 1x1 buildings that stretches out far from the city until it touches a mine
I'm pretty sure I had given one sovereign a movement book, and noticed some time later she only had a move of 1, so I guess this explains it.
I've been (not >_>) seeing a lot of invisible units of all kinds. Sometimes they stay invisible, sometimes they pop in and out of visibility, and sometimes they are only invisible when they move.
I'm finding that certain research items have far too big an impact on the game to be ignored in both trees. For example without the ability to create markets (the 4 tile buildings that give like 6 gold per turn) you really don't have enough gold to do anything, and without certain equipment breakthroughs your units (and cities) are completely helpless. Those are just two specific examples, basically I'm finding that all around you need to go heavy into both civ and war research at a mostly eq
I'm seeing the same thing, though I wasn't paying attention to when it happened and the one squad I built was wiped out instantly at some point.
I chose not to save him when I got to the cave and got a free sword (10 dmg), and then I received the popup telling me I successfully saved the knight and completed the quest twice in a row.
I said possible, not probable, though is has become a somewhat common practice from other developers. Also, budget limits are hit, sometimes devs really want to make something special and need extra money to accomplish it. What I proposed would make a lot of sense in that situation.
I think it's possible they were never planning for an August release. Throwing that date out there as well as implementing the Army system most likely got many people to preorder over the past week or so, and once beta 2 starts all of those people will be charged and gain access. This could be a huge burst of funding allowing the devs to continue working on the game until February without budget issues. I don't mean to say they were trying to trick us or anything negative, as we will
Ya, not looking like I'll be playing it this morning. I leave in 3 hours though and will be gone 10, so hopefully it will be up when I get home. I'll still keep checking until I leave though. [e digicons]8|[/e] At the very least it would be nice to download it while I was away, so would be cool if they put it up around 7 EST. [e digicons][/e]

There's a reason why not all cells are stem cells. As G3mpi3 mentioned, you only have to look at cancer to find the reason out.
My understanding of it is that aging is the result of our cells no longer being able to split and thus slowly dying off throughout the body. There were even UI elements and buttons you could click on that did nothing because they were for CO features, they didn't fix it until a few days before the game went live. Even at release a lot of the game options didn't work because they were for things not even in the game, and functio
I was actually hoping PE would fail because I was really looking forward to Gods and Heroes (I'm glad somebody revived it), and when they canned that to focus on STO I was very upset. At the time I thought it was good news Cryptic picked it up from them, but ya... I've not played JG but I've been following JGE for what seems like forever. EVE is more a MMOSim, I wouldn't really call it an RPG, where JGE sounds like it's going to be much closer to normal MMORPGs. I dunno
To those still confused by the stack comment, think of it like Age of Wonders instead of Civilization/FFH. I imagine the tactical battles will be very similar to the ones in the AoW games. So imagine that sort of battle going on behind the scenes when you clash with another army.

Or do you think its just dead?
I missed this. STO already went through 2 other dev studios IIRC. I know one of them (I think the second one) was Perpetual Entertainment who got pretty far along in development before they were shut down. Cryptic then bought the rights for the game and essentially scrapped everythi

Is it safe to assume that if it's not up in the next 4-5 hours then it's not going to be up until tomorrow morning at the earliest? Just wondering if a 3am EST release is even possible. I'd guess saying "within 24 hours" means they aren't sure if they will get it up tonight or tomorrow morning.
Yay! I guess I'll probably be pulling an all nighter.
What time would they normally release a beta or news of it not coming? It's already getting late in the day EST.

He doesent like that the battles are similar to Kings Bounty and he loves the Disicples II battles. I have played both and he must be overwhelmed by nostalgia. The battles of Disicples II are very old fashioned and simple and if used in a game today would be scorned in my opinion. Kings Bounty has the best turn based battles
