I like the idea of mountains being somehow passable. Give them varying degrees of dangerousness and difficulty so that you can have impassable mountains where they are needed for a scenario, while allowing passage for other mountain ranges, only that you have to fear your army getting worn down (like gapper said). With special gear, abilities and/or spells you then could decrease the difficulty and the danger of passing through this terrain (as Tasunke said). I never liked that Civi

@ScienceMad: Totally agree! Well, at least in that these are on my list of the "most wanted sequels of all time".
failed to get the rights to Master of Magic
What? They really did try to get the rights? @Palinchron: And I would quadrupletrillionaise the amount... or something. ;-) No, seriously, also thought about that - the ability to zoom out of battle to have a look from above and to move your characters individually would have been awes

@Thiryn: Thanks, I´m gonna investigate that. =D @Wintersong, Saije and others: Sorry, but that´s not helping. As Wintersong has pointed out "it´s all behaviour rules". Of course you can find it dishonorable or whatsoever to copy games. Of course you can tell people who don´t have the money to spare, not to play a game at all, if they can´t afford it. But that won´t help. Not because people were disconnected to m

I just have to comment on this topic. Because I think that it´s not that easy. "If you can´t afford it, don´t buy it!", for example. It´s quite simple - if one can´t afford a game, the company producing it will not get money from this guy. So, the respective won´t-be-customer can get his hands on a "license-infringed" copy of the game without harming the company (at least, if he doesn´t use online-servers and by that causi

Yeah, could seriously be cool, mainly because it would allow for more independence in visualisation, available to a much broader range of people. And could be especially interesting for modders who want to put new and distinguished sovereigns and such into the game but don´t want to do a complete 3D-remodelling for each and every. With 2D-image-compatibilty you could pretty much just take the concept-sketch that you would need for the 3D-model and leave the rest of the modelli

Guess I can put my question in here since I haven´t found a thread covering this and it seems a bit awkward to me to start a new one just for my question. So, I thought about the same thing as the thread-starter here and came to wonder if it would be possible to integrate 2D-imagery into the info-cards? It would be great if a devoted player would have the possibility to draw a picture of his/her sovereign (or, for the modders, of new items, monsters, etc.), or to have sever

Hi there, everyone. So I got myself to sign in here so I can comment on some of this. First I gotta say that I´m no beta-tester, so I just have a pretty basic idea of what the game will actually be like. But that said, I like the idea of quests for the regent. I wouldn´t want the outcome to be too dependent on luck though. I know stuff like that from civ4 and it always makes me uncomfortable - mostly it´s either a awesome win or a devastating l
