"Beta is a privilege, not a right. Unless you have been charged for the preorder. [e digicons]:P[/e] " Quote No, when you preorder a game it is a right, you have invested and put faith into a game, and deserve some respect. Otherwise, you just go and revoke the preorder and wait till reviews come. Having people wait around till mid march isn't right. We have our own feedback that we could add into the game to make it better at stage 1G, not just p

Not everyone shares the same drive to live, yours is survival instinct, mine is a desire to experience and learn. Yes there is variable in life from the many interactions between things, which causes numerous different results. And yes, thank you for agreeing with me at your last sentence. Randomness does not unbalance a game to the point of making it unfun. You still have the ability to survive and thrive, but you have surprises and challenge, when you put in appr

Of course you can let them choose how they react, nobody said you take full control away, they do have options, but the random elements add challenge and surprise to the game. There has to be order in the foundation. The whole game's foundation is not based on chaos. What I was saying, is that when you have solid foundational system in place, like the quest system, like the create a character system, and all those basic fundamental systems in place. That the GAMEPLAY c

Without randomness, the game will get boring, repetitive and predictable because everything will become known. That's why most of these games for $50.00 go sour in the first month or two. We need a game that actually takes a bold step forward and puts in alot of random variable features. so that every playthrough is fresh. THAT would improve replayability, not cutting out random elements. That's a total contradiction. One random element that just popped out i

People that preordered your game should have access to the beta just like the previous beta testers. These people "Invested" into your game, taking a financial risk, and putting faith into your company. The least you could do is allow them to test and review your game to help make it a fun game, and not just for one day but the entire duration. You have nothing to gain by having a small tiny handful of beta testers. That ends up giving you a really strong mispercepti

Hopefully the devs take something positive from this. I'll explain what I mean by the random variable throughout the post. Bear with me. I love all kinds of strategy games, both turn based and real time, or even a combination of the two. But I think one of their greatest FLAWS, is that after awhile they become boring, repetitive and predictable, so that you can't keep playing it anymore and so you just go looking for the next big title. &nb

There is a game out there that has the most realism, the best graphics and the most non-linear story. It's called life, go live it. This is a game, and it doesn't have to be super realistic. Nor do I think most people who play games, want to trade their life for a virtual one. That would be really pathetic. BUT! One part of your post reminds me of something, that I will explain in my own way. Alot of games fail to deliver replay value because th

There is no search option for this forum, the one i used above searches the internet. So I don't know if this has been talked about. It sounds like this game will be very customizable and shareable via the net. But it sounded like that is only for your faction and building. Correct me if I'm wrong. If people had a way to create their own neutral monsters without needing extensive modding and computer skills, that would be great. Although there wou
