I had suggested safe mode too. It's always recommended to do things like this in safe mode.

I know it's a clean install of Windows, But boot into safe mode and run an elevated command prompt and type sfc /scannow. See if this resolves your problem if not post results please :). Quick tip, winflag + R for run prompt type "cmd" then hold ctrl + shift then press enter this will open elevated cmd prompt. :) Posting if in case you didn't know that and for others too :)

A computer isn't really going to harm you as driving would but I was merely mentioning it. I use very good security software so UAC really isn't necessary as the acronym actually stands for User Account Control. Doesn't really provide much purpose but anyway. UAC is really a guideline for home users, It provides a sense of security although it's not necessary for windows to function. I personally have it disabled because I know the things I install won't require permission to install. Also which version of Windows 7 are you using ? By version I mean Ultimate, Home Premium etcetera. You're also not using the latest version of Windowblinds :). Latest version is Build 310.

I understand that. I wasn't really specifying for WB but neither did I know that as I haven't attempted to use a BMP with alpha channel since I use TGA format anyway. I apologise if my post may have mislead anyone.

I know this is a bit late, but BMP supports 32-bit channel (a.k.a alpha). Or you could just use magic pink although I prefer alpha channel.

Is that version build 309 ? Because I have this version and the same problem as Pawl, If I apply with windowblinds it forces the menus to appear left. I am also using Win 7 x64. I'll test and see if the problem persists. Ok, Thank you. The problem is fixed :).

I agree with windoe, Looks like UI has gone backwards in time. We need more skins from the likes of DanilloOc, JJ.Ying, Mike Bryant, Essorant, vStyler :D Where did they go ? (not so much vStyler, seen his recent work and it's amazing like always).
