I was drawn to this thread because it showed up in the list right next to one about the game being too hard on challenging. I also saw a post the other day about it being too hard on easy... A few perspectives I think are worth adding: 1) The more complicated a game, the harder it is to have the "defaults" fit a player. I believe your desciption showed a great deal of experience in games like this, you may not be the average player. Many other players find it too hard. Ha

Currently, it seems like a no-brainer for me to expand when I see another plot of land I can build a city on. I've starting thinking of trying to create a tradeoff between expansion and building up existing cities. My goal would be to make both "City Spam" and "few mega City" viable, with some in between space for a combination of the two, but hopefully creating influences that reinforce going one way or another. I didn't buy WoM, I saw it was a game that fit my interest, but I read the reviews and choose not to. After seeing FE coming, I read the reviews and was shocked to find a company standing behind their product so strongly. I "Pre-Ordered" the Beta without hesitation because of it. Personally, I'd rather be able to keep a unit the entire game than have it go obsolete after a series of new technologies. The high level units that have been fighting with my Champion from very early on are eventually rotated out in place of fresh recuirts in favor of higher group size and sometimes nothing other than 2 additional movement points. I find myself hesitating to make trainable units until I can give them horses or if I'm nearing another "Group size". I have a couple
