At this first state of the beta I like the way the random maps works, grouping mountains and forest in a natural terraformed way, and the fact that for a small map the size is quite big (how the huge one will be then!). I also like the possiblities of the design, but I expect that the slowdown when having > 15/20 cities don't be a dessign issue... Good work in any case!

Hi, I think that in order we can reproduce other more complicated bugs is absolutely necessary repair the save/load system ASAP. Also it woul help to test better the issues about the move system of the cloth map; it is very frustating to select units on it, or to scroll where you want. I hope that this issues will be included in the Beta 1A. Bye!
Finally I´ve got the mail this morning and my home pc must be dowloading the beta. Now I am at work. But one question about Impulse: it is not nececesary to key the serial, is it?. I have only selected Elemental, and then clicked in Install and the game has begun to dowload.
If VISA also fails I will try with Pay-pal, but the VISA must works, otherwise I will give bak it to the bank. I know that the game is very green just now, but I have curiosity for be in a beta, it would be my first time. But for today I have waited enough. Good night, an good testing if so, to all the elemental people.
Quoting Takeitsy, reply 10I DO have received the mail, but to say me that the charge on my card has failed. I pre-ordered in November, but I don´t give up and have just pre-ordered again but with a Visa. Let see how many time I must wait until the queue reach my new order... For the record, I didn't have any problems with MasterCard. Don't worry tough. T

Well, begins the basket: Spain-France. Maybe now I can avoid to think on the beta for a few seconds in a row.
On IRC, Scott said he's starting the final process to get the build on Impulse. Compiling is the least of it, evidently. There's some hand-tweaking necessary, a bit of testing, and a big hunk of time to just get the necessary files on the public servers. 1400ish East coast time if we're lucky, methinks.
One hour and a half then?? Bah!, sure you are trying to get down our expectations for what awaits us... later I hope. Please, don't play so much with our impatience. [e digicons][/e]
There is a lot of people waiting to test the betas, so I am wondering how do you think to organise a so high number of reports. It would be more easy for all of us if under the 4 main sections there were more sub-sections, and then again more sub-sections. I am thinking in something like "BUGS->RESOURCES->MINING", or "PERFORMANCE->GRAPHICS->ATI" style. But I´m sure you have already thougth on something better.
Quoting Takeitsy, reply 4 Buaahh ... I have just checked my card movements and there is any payment pending. If it is not indiscreet.. when did you make the pre-order?. I did it in november. Only hope that being from spain is going to be a problem. If Demigod and Gal Civ II's expansions serve as precedent (in my personal experience), you won't have any problems. Just make sure

I take this to mean sept. 22 Being the 21st the last day of summer I bet all my confidence in Stardock for it.
If I have understood it well, in the Beta we will not see these cool screens. So, what are we going to see when zooming in?, only units and structures over the cloth map? I only hope that the Beta doesn´t delay too much, I'm getting very very anxious waiting for it.
The way to prevent a Super Fighting Channeler go out to take the world by his own could be the use of the distance from his tower as a factor to reduce his spell's power, or to increase the consumption of mana per spell used, like in MOM. Also it could be used the friend or foe territory as a factor when recovering mana at the end of the turn, being 25% when in foe territory, 50% in allied territory, 75% in your own territory and 100% into his tower. This factor could be lightly mo
Well, since I am a MOM nostalgic and in this there was Steam Cannons and Warships I have no problem with a powder technology branch of the research tree for determined factions. Furthermore, it would remind me of the powder bomb used by the Uruk-Hai in the Helm´s Deep; maybe Saruman did it, but without any magic. I think this game wouldn't be limited by a historical view; it's a fantasy game and therefore the less the limits the better the experience.
Hello, I think that the descendants would must be agreed as a term of the diplomatic negotiations when a marriage is proposed. A previous term would be where the couple is going to live, o which faction they will join, and in exchange of this term the faction that loses the son or the daughter will have rights over the fisrtborn boychild, by example, in order to balance the marriage treaty PD: Excuse my english, I´m from Spain.
