The only idea I could think of is giving an increasing chance for an event to occur within that city for every turn that it's idle. That event could be good or bad give extra options, or not, but I was thinking it could at least cut out the boredom. Rare quests, hidden dungeons, plagues, jousts, beer fests, Bonaroo... umm, okay maybe not Bonaroo.

Hey Das, have you checked the faction ledger? I may be wrong in this but I could have sworn you can go into the ledger and in the ledger it lists all the spells that you have available that are currently in effect, either on units and on cities. From there you can cancel them. It has all the spells listed that are in effect and right next to them are little check mark boxes you can click. * Oops, never mind. You figured it out later o
Enemy AI units zip right through wildland areas without triggering the quest. In fact, they built a road through it.
Nice. Can't wait to try it out. Just one thing, who's in charge of adding more typos? I understand that is a hard job.
I've yet to see a positive review for Win8. Would Windows not be better served by dumping most of the current concept and starting over? I don't know how any of that works or if it's possible, but just seems to me they aren't looking at a good release. By the way, just read that they are having to dump the name 'Metro' for legal reasons. I still have Vista and am fine with it and wouldn't consider upgrading to anything else unless I am getti

Hmmm...I see we have some Wheel of Time fans at Stardock Roger that![/quote] No. You'll find out they are Wheel of Time fans when the unending number of sequels come out and all the female characters are annoyingly tugging their braids :)
Erasing the C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental - Fallen Enchantress directory seems to have solved it.
When I load up the game I get a blank, black screen instead of the game's splash screen. It seems to load the game as normal though. It goes from the blank screen, into the Stardock logo, then into the normal starting game menu. (edit- oops, forgot my debug err file) debug.err

Folks mentioned some shows on Fx like Sons of Anarchy , so I'll throw Justified out there.
Jeri Ryan and Jolene Blalock are my favorite episodes of Star Trek. Wait are those episodes?
My dad, uncles, and both grandfathers kept bee hives. What kind of bees are they? I think my dad raised Italian (I think that's the kind, ain't it?). It was fun watching him get the honey out of the wooden stacks and now that I think about it, I wish I'd have kept his bee keeping stuff. Would have come in handy when I had to kill off a yellow jacket nest last year.
Splinters!
Thanks for the replies guys. I fixed the issue. Turns out it was a clogged graphics card fan. I just cleaned my computer 3 months ago too, which is why I was shocked when I cleaned out my card's fan. The stuff that I blew out of it looked like the crap you find in a clothes dryer screen. Thank God for CPUID hardware monitor. I thought I was seeing things when I saw 106 degrees Celsius at idle. Man, I am pissed... at dust. I quickly loaded the ga
Well, I just reinstalled and it still doesn't work. I've installed new drivers, rolled back to old ones, disabled AA, disabled particle effects, disabled outlines, disabled ground cover, disabled just about everything I could, I've re-downloaded the game, reinstalled, gone back to the newest drivers... The game starts out fine but as soon as I preform an action it hits lag and becomes unplayable. It works fine in cloth map, well, sort of. Below are more r
Hey Mhantra and Flymar, if you are able to get some significant play time without lag could you please, please let me know? I may try uninstalling and installing again
dgerards, yeah, it does kind of feel like a memory leak, though I dunno if that is what it is. I should also add that I have gone through most if not all the settings in my graphic card control panel and set them as low/high as I could for maximum performance, I've also turned off all extra processes that run in the background like anti-virus, and, um, well, done everything else I know to do. I am out of ideas.
Okay, this is the same issue I had earlier, but this time I am going to include all the info I can. I thought I had the issue fixed, but it doesn't appear so. I have tried disabling outlines and particle effects, I have updated drivers, and even reverted back to old ones- I have tried pretty much everything I can think of. I am able to get the game to run very well sometimes when I start up, but very quickly after preforming a first couple of actions (like settling a cit
I rolled back to the original drivers and it works great; the newest drivers all seemed incompatible with the game or were buggy as hell in general with my computer. I downloaded and tried at least 6 or 7 driver versions from the newest going back (there are almost 30 or 40 of them *ugh*). None of them worked so I just decided to start off from the older versions. Hopefully this helps anyone else with the same type of system. I edited this to tak
Thanks Sean, will do.
Oops, sorry I should have stated that at the start... Vista 32bit AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core 5600+ ~2.8ghz 4 gb ram GeForce 9500gt 1gb Redskull, one thing I found, so far, is that turning off "translate text" in the menu seemed to help me a little. But, still, everything turned down or off doesn't help me enough. And I have turned everything down or disabled everything you can disable pretty much. Also, I have noticed th
Thanks Sean, yeah, it's one of the first things I tried. However, I think I may re-download the game and then re-install. I copied the game file from an external hard drive because I had to do a reformat a couple of weeks ago. Maybe something got corrupted in the process.
Yeah, I have tried turning down or off just about everything including outlines. Doesn't seem to help. I am pretty certain my graphics drivers are up to date too. I just updated them about two weeks ago. I kind of wonder if going back to the previous version might help. By the way, Brad, is there a way to go back to default settings in the options menu?
