I think limiting their access to a few Demigods is the best idea, and also Favor Items. Obviously they shouldn't be allowed into Pantheon mode. I think the options for Demigods should definitely be an assassin and a general, with as much diversity in their gameplay as possible. Like Rook and Sedna or something.

Edit: Nevermind. Apparently the connectivity fix wasn't included in this beta patch. Well... Still can't join. Getting the exact same problem as v105 and earlier. I get stuck at connecting to other players when joining games. If I host a match, I'll get one player in my lobby. In my connection info it will say I'm connected to him but he's attempting to connect to me (and his info shows the exact opposite). I can see his ping in the lobby and
I wonder if that was me... I played somebody twice in a row who used Regulus and they quit both times.
Appreciate that you're keeping us up to date on what's going on, Frogboy. I hope these proxies work out really well for those of us who have to rely on GameRanger. Competition is a little thin there--fewer players means fewer matches, meaning the metagame is less complex and competitive and I'll have a lot new tricks to learn once integrating with the core playerbase. Fortunately these forums exist to keep me appraised of the builds and strategies most people are using.
Going to agree with most posters here. Stuns and interrupts should be tactical in nature, and putting your spell on cooldown accomplishes just that.
Sounds pretty cool, and definitely different than the other demigods (which will eventually become the hard part... coming up with new playstyles).
The legit games on GameRanger do seem pretty sparse tonight... I haven't been able to get into a single one successfully. They fall apart after waiting on one more player for too long.
Just wanted to throw in a few pennies of my own, but I wholly agree and applaud Stardock's position on piracy. I love that I don't need to deal with crappy DRM that sometimes makes it difficult to even install certain games, and I like not needing to dig up the CD every time I want to play or having to rely on user-created no CD patches to circumvent it. If you guys do choose add in more measures to fight piracy later on down the road, all I ask is that it's invisible to me, and i
I would take a long hard look at the items on the second page that are specific to generals. It seems a lot of people dont notice there is a second page of favor items.
I... Thank you.
I was using Rook one game and an enemy demigod was completely blinded by bloodlust while chasing a near-death ally of mine. So blinded that he didn't notice the hammer high above my head a few meters ahead of him as he ran directly underneath its crushing blow.
My router/modem also uses symmetric NAT, and no amount of port forwarding and configuration has allowed me to play Pantheon or custom matches. I have to use GameRanger.
Oak. Using the shield in tandem with the Heart of Life is pretty cool.
GameRanger works for me, but it's really hard to find other players with an updated game version. Seems overrun by pirated v.0091 matches.
Sure, I'd absolutely be interested in further Demigod Journals. I would completely understand and accept if they were less frequent once all the connectivity kinks and bugs were worked out, but I'm always interested in what direction games are being taken. Also worth noting is that these journals have been the only reason I didn't go for a refund.
Well, I'm passing the portchecker tests and still unable to join games--either Pantheon or Skirmish/Custom. Not sure what else to do at this point so I guess I'll wait for further information/patches.
