Ok, this has been happening all day for multiple people... but haven't seen much about it. Attempting to log into the game, you will log in as nothing. "You are now logged in as" no name will follow. You can still connect to the chat but you will have a Guest_## nickname. After trying to fix this all day, I'm guessing it is a problem with the login server and this is a server side problem with Stardock. Doesn't appear to be any fix, so if you are not connecting, if you see

You cannot drop Idols in the game. Not sure if this is a bug or if someone just accideintally added the text that you could. You can sell them back to the shop, but that is the only way to get rid of them. You can drop things such as equipment, scrolls, and potions.
So I was playing this game on Leviathan, and I was playing Sedna and chasing this Regulus who had less than 200 HP. He runs around a tower heading for his Citadel with me following closely behind him attacking him all along the way, but then all of a sudden, he gains a huge amount of distance. I watched as Sedna hit the tower, bounced off it seemed, started running the opposite way, turned around and took an alternate path around the tower.... by then he had a huge gap between him and I, and
Here is a little bit of eyecandy for everyone out there...
Shkval, who was in the game, just told me that this is the new Desync, and this window pops up and exits the game instead of suffering through desync windows. Thanks Shkval!
I think it depends on the map and your team and your own play style. I play rook defensively (tower build with lots of hp and structural transfer) on maps such as cataract, but on bigger maps, I like to be in the mix and be able to stay with the enemy longer as they run away, so I will typically not go with a tower build and instead go with speed and dps (hammer, stun, buffs, arrows). Anyways, that's just how I play, and usually switch them around depending on how I feel like playing.
Was in this game, and a window popped up... "Critical Error - Exiting Game In 7 Seconds..." then it exited the game and didn't record the game. Everyone in the game received this error. First time I have ever seen something like this. What is it?
Found the solution on another thread. You need to delete the Game.prefs file from the C:\Users\(Username)\Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod folder. It wipes all your saved settings and your login info, but, my maps are loading again.
So last night, my game was working fine. This morning, I have a lot of problems with it. So last night, my game was working fine. This morning, I have a lot of problems with it. Everytime I try to load a map, it stalls on the loading screen. The hotbar UI pops up with the top menus, and the middle of the screen has the glowing animation, but the map never loads. There is a huge amount of activity with the HDD LED during this time as well. The tip also pops up with [No Text] constantly, which indicates some crash. Now, I know my ISP has been kind of screwy, but am not sure
Yesterday, when this patch came out, I tried to play to see if there were any noticeable changes... but the lobby was empty for custom games. I thought the patch had broken the game... but a few games showed up just minutes later (was strange to see an empty lobby). During the time between not seeing any games, I was on the website and seen information for the new Demigods. I thought that this was the patch that was adding them. I got all excited ;D Well, when I did join
Ma femme est tombée par-dessus bord, il y a quinze kilomètres.
You were playing wrong as were your teammates, so its fair.
haha, yea.... but at the start, I actually was trying.
Oh crap!! This post looks hostile. RETREAT BACK TO THE TOWERS BEFORE WE TAKE DAMAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I join this "Good Players" game, but quickly become the n00b with constant feeding. Oh no! I actually thought for a second that my allies would 'help'. BAD ME!! It's always fun when you get on a team that just wants to tower hug ALL GAME and give absolutely zero support... they were the "Good Players" the game was looking for and I only wish I had as much skill as they displayed *dreams*. It's fun going 2v1 with your Regulus behind you firing at the enemy creeps instead
Heh, like the thread topic? Anyways, I am back to complaining again today... mainly that Stardock and GPG's seem to be moving slow as snails with patches. When was the last patch?? It was like a month ago wasn't it?? Seriously, more frequent smaller patches please... get things working as you get 'em fixed. So here I am, hosting a game... pretty much a full game again, except for this one proxy user with a 500+ ping in-game... *Kick* Oh wait... now I re

I think I have managed to lose every game I have played today... and some of the games I played I did really well too... but... some of the games I had some really bad players were on my team. Tell me what on earth possesses people to run from a fight when it is 2v1 (you have t
I do not belive proxies give you a correct representation of the actual ping of a player in this game. It seems as if every time I get in a game with proxy players, they have flucuating pings and always lag out the game. Proxies are just another cause of connection issues and disconnects, IMO. I'd rather play a game with Z E R O proxied players.
Falcon505's sim speed was crapping out a bit. This is because he was on an Asus G50vt laptop and had been playing Call of Duty 4 for about 5 hours, then Demigod for 4. Obviously wasn't doing it on purpose. Also, lowering settings does not really affect sim speed CallTheVoid.
Changing your settings does effect sim speed... especially your resolution.
With the constant crashing of the lobbies in this game, especially when trying to kick people from the lobby, how about implementing some settings for hosts so the game doesn't let people join... for example 1) Maximum Ping 2) To Allow Proxies or not 3) To be able to block players with certain stats 4) To block name strings (I tend to kick anyone with a number after their name cause majority of the time they are n00bs) Also, it would be very nice to improve the ping displays. If you have a crap sim speed and are ruining the fun for everyone in the game, and do not care to adjust your settings.... I'd ban you too.
Honest question, im not looking to start a flame war or anything, this is my second competitive game (my first was World in Conflict) and i really dont know why when we play competitive games we tend to become jackasses. GalCivs2 Community is great and a lot of people i see in this forum that come from there are great, so if the problem is the competitive games why are does players not changing?, i guess it could have something to do with maturity but i

When an AI is in my games, it always just shows a ping of 0 for the player. It says 0 when a player was replaced by an AI. It says AI when the AI is there from the start.
Cool. I never knew that. I do not think I've ever started a multiplayer game with AI ;p
