here is the last part of that game [img]http://i.imgur.com/CGCwm.jpg[/img] here we see another big problem, ai declared war on me some turn ago, which is fine, he was quite strong, he is still quite strong, but then as we see he start builiding... pioneers! not only he already has a good empire and enough cities, but ai is at war, he should definitely change priorities into building troops,

city defenses should be just stronger maybe tied to some tech or fortress expansions but they need to be better, not by much but something in early game it should be nearly impossible to take a city unless like sean said you really FOCUS on rushing, that means building many good troops as only thing that way imo winning a city should be possible all other scenarios should be prevented, ea

i am a bit against making the world too much scripted to follow the player also the problem can be solved in many other ways, i already did it by modding the lairs so that you dont get hard lairs at start, the few ones that have to spawn immediatly (like dragons) can be made so the dragons dont wander and arent released when your influence hit them so basically once all this is balanced you cant really be destroyed cause you unluck in the starting spot, you get

the movement of units is so boring that makes you wanna cry every time they dont have a clue what UI means probably and these neverending empires... you HAVE TO make a city every time you have the chance, its kinda lol you can NEVER stop to build cities, 20 30 40 its never enough you have to keep building them yeah maybe if some real human tested it b4 releasing...

yeah probably end game they are doing more dmg also there is no reason not to use a 2h on the assassin :P try a serrated greatsword :D still they may die against some monsters, dunno about ai you can too much outmaneuver them

yes the only good melee in game is defender right now you get the best stuff and the dmg you lose with shield or not having many offensive traits is not so huge assassins are not viable, they take too much dmg while not doing enough if you want to build a glass cannon just make a warrior with 2h, the dmg is way more massive at least but like you said end game scaling is towards crit, with vital strike path of assa and some other crit end game is super good

yeah ofc you are totally right about that war ai should be improved in tacticalm, monsters are supposed to not use particular maneuver while you have to expect at least some basic things like those you listed and a good use of magic from an ai sovereign also at the very least you should expect a good targeting decision right now tbh the main point would be building right both champions and troops build wrong, this should be not so hard to make,

wargs are op guys... 10 dodge 15 vs ranged dodge is so so much op the rest doesnt matter when you get nearly immune to dmg about crit i agree crit dmg shoudl go down crit chance higher

these stats make no sense warlock is bad despite some ppl trying to defend that untested and flawed game, i dont believe someone really played it more than once, there is nothing else to it after a full game and in general there are few strategy games, even less TBS combine that with the fantasy and you dont have the numbers to really make a meaningful statistics here market as always will follow good games imo

i think thats the reason some staff has -crit to preclude the base crit chance of every unit but yeah i agree spells shouldnt crit even though following another thread derek told bow attacks are spells, so removing crit would be a problem for archers i guess they should rework some stuff, or add some hidden -100 crit chance on spells dunno

great :D im really curious to see how ai performs after this and the monsters attacking from 982 :D in my last 2 games i always had some ai suiciding building near a dragon or so that few turns later started attacking and demolished them
