Have you downloaded the lastest video drivers? That might help. The monitor book should tell you the native resolution. Check the advanced display settings and it will give you a list of the settings that will work with your particular monitor. As for Vista, been there done that and I highly recommend Windows 7. It is truly

You might want to try temporarily disabling your security software to see if it is blocking Deskscapes. If so, you may need to create a rule or exeption so Deskscapes can run. If that doesn't solve the problem, you should contact Stardock support. They are very helpful.

Have you tried them? I ask because I had my resolution set at that level and had no problem with wallpapers. I just tried Dreamscapes at that resolution and it works. It does look better at a higher resolution though. I am "assuming" that your video card supports at least 1024 X 768?

Hi Po, You can create a partition if you want but you don't have to. Just do an advanced installation of Win 7 and it will create a Windows.old directory. I didn't lose any data as I run automatic backups here. I did have to reinstall most of my software but it wasn't hard at all. One of the things I had trouble with was Window Blinds. I uninstalled it but forgot to move the directory under my user profile and Win 7 is not shy about telling you that

I just checked the list of skins I have with WB 7 and Molten is no longer there so I have a feeling it will not be supported under Win 7. You might want to check the Win Customize site and check out some of the new skins that are available. Guess I am lucky because my personal skin is working fine with WB 7. I've had to tweak a couple of older skins in Skin Studio to get them to work though. If you have Skin Studio you might try some tweaks and see if that works.

I used to use Vista with WB 6 and was using WB 7 with Vista as well until I upgraded to Windows 7 (32 bit). Other than normal beta issues, WB 7 has worked fine with both. Some skins have settings for a particular OS. For example, the one I use has settings for XP, Vista and Windows 7. You might try applying the ones for Vista and see if that helps or tweak some of your settings. Of course, Windows 7 is the current operating syste

Are you using Vista? Microsoft has received many complaints about the gray text. I am using Windows 7 and just noticed that the headers are now black as they should be. I am using my own skin and I know I found a way to change some of the settings for Live Mail but I don't think the gray text was one of them. Right now I am using a skin called Christmas Holidays and, as I mentioned, the text is all black. When I use my own theme the text is dark blue. Now I

Is is possible that your security software is blocking the install? You might also want to temporarily disable UAC. I am running WB 7 here with no problems at all. I have the 32 bit version of Windows 7. The fact that Impulse is telling you that WB 7 is not installed correctly means that either there was a temporary problem with the server or your computer is preventing WB 7 from installing correctly. I would uninstall WB 7 completely, reboot, and then tu

Hi Skyzyk, Have you tried running Sound Packager with Norton completely disabled? Just an idea. It works fine for me but I am in the 32 bit version of Win 7. Hope you are able to get it all sorted out but it sounds as though you've tried about everything.

Shirley, I am really sorry to hear that we may not see a Win 7 version of Bootskin. I love that program. It "almost" makes me miss Vista. Sure hope we do get to see it one of these days although the boot screen for Win 7 isn't a ugly as the ones for XP and Vista.

I held off on Object Desktop for awhile but finally bought the untimate version. It's well worth the price. I am still playing with some of the new programs. Besides, you will get an automatic upgrade to the latest version plus an extra subscription year. At least that's what they were offering when I bought it a couple of months ago. If the offer is still out there, I recommend that you jump on it. [e digicons]:)[/e]

Hi jb0615 and Mirsguy, Do you have Skin Studio by any chance? If so, you could change the color in WB 7, open it in Skin Studio and then save the skin with a new name such as Miricla_1, Miricla_2, etc. Skin Studio 7 is still in beta and it is not integrated with WB 7 yet. That should happen pretty soon. For now you have to open Skin Studio 7 separately from WB then you can save the skin with the new color. FYI Skin Studio 6 is not compatible wit

Hi grcobb, You might try running SKS 7 with your security disabled. I had a problem here at one time and had to "allow" SKS to run. If that doesn't help, try uninstalling SKS 7, reboot the computer and try installing it again. Make sure you verify the installation. It's working fine for me so far. I can apply the skin either in SKS 7 or in WB 7. The only thing I can't do is open SKS from withing WB 7 but that will come soon. I am usi

Hi robertlow706 , Per Fuzzy Logic, "The target on the shortcut is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\CursorFX\CursorFX Control Panel.exe" and the 'Start In' is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\CursorFX". I put this shortcut in the Stardock folder of my start menu." To do as Fuzzy Logic suggests, use

I am running Windows 7 here (32 bit) and it's working just fine. My version of Cursor FX is dated June 3, 2009. Did you install it via Impulse? If not, you should. If yes, did you verify the install (right click on it and verify installation)? Could your security software be blocking it by any chance? If none of these things are the problem, I would uninstall it, turn off all security software and install it again.

Thanks, Shirley I am aware of that as Windows 7 wouldn't even allow me to install it. I guess that's better than installing it and then having major problems. Sure would love a version that will work with Windows7 though. That's a major "hint." [e digicons]:)[/e] I really love that program.
