It happened to me before, me and my teammate were cleaning the other teams clocks, then she went afk, and on domination it isnt exactly swell. But there isnt really anything that GPG can do about players leaving thier keyboards once a game has started. And sometimes people have a phone call they think will be quick but takes longer, or more than likely have to drop the kids off at the pool. Luck of the draw i suppose.

Well if you are upset with ai opponents you should be pissed at the players quitting your game when it starts [e digicons]^_^[/e] And yes I have had to alt tab out of the game where it froze up in the menus, but it wasnt a big deal, just ctrl alt delete, task manager, end task, open impulse, and play game. Its not a deal breaker for me though, my comp isnt that great and not unexpected. Honestly it rarely happens to me. If it happens every game for you i think you might want to
I dont know about the stats deal, it might show up tomorrow I havent had an issue like that yet. As for the ranking. From what i understand its not unreasonable. If your 5-0 friend has only beat newer/lower ranked opponents then he will not go up in rank very much, whereas your 1-4 friend has probably beaten a very high ranked player and rose alot in the rankings and with his 4 losses probably against high ranked players aswell, didnt lose much experience. It isnt impossible i
Making a game isnt easy. Making an online arena game were you have very competitive people who constantly harass you with problems with balance and exploits that are game breaking and ruining the game for the people who are happy to play the game despite occasional slow starting games or crashes, isnt easy. With 1.1 you didnt notice that games started alot smoother? I did, I have yet to end up in a 3vs2 pantheon and oh ai teammate. They are fixing the game, fixing connections, adding
Im not exactly sure how experience works, I know i am not the 6th best eberus but it still felt pretty good getting it if only for alittle while so i like the system [e digicons][/e]
The tower rook can be annoying but I dont think its that big of a deal. Smart play keeps rook at bay :p If you and your three teammates got stuck back in your base by a rook you guys were severely mismatched sorry to say. I have had situations like what you said arise. A rook and a regulus with mines and towers and snipe, very annoying but kudus to them, thier strategy and teamwork was better than my teams and we lost because of it. Lesson learned, either spread thier team up or take
Are you talking about pantheon matches? If so there arent supposed to be AI and when there are its because players have quit the game while it was loading.
I dont really know where to put this, so i thought i'd just put it here. I dont know if its a bug or an exploit but the team i played against last night might feel differently. My team was two eberus vs regs well i end up smashing on some towers down by thier base on crucible. I knew i was going to die and i knew their was a posioned pot from my teammate or myself sitting right next to me. So as i destroy the towers one of the regs comes by and i have almost no health, he hits
This is a bad idea, and wouldnt work with multiplayer, sorry to say. Knowledge is already a large enough advantage why should anyone get a bonus for already being better than the average casual player. And seperating casual and expert sounds good, but you need a very large player pool for that to be effective.
I havent had any major incidents with bad sportsmanship... in fact the only low point on the day for me was losing to frogboy [e digicons][/e] But for the most part the concede option solves the issue with rage quitters. Now when someone quits you arent left to sit it out 1 vs 2 with an ai and can just say i am not playing with ai sorry. Happened a few times today. No big deal just played a new game.
I tell you what, if stardock and GPG keep listening to thier community and doing what they need to in order to make the game more enjoyable and balanced for the community as a whole I well quit. Nothing pisses me off more than a dev and publisher who care about thier customers. <span style="font-size: small; font-family: Calibri;"
Welcome to the Demigod community.
I was in there today, the guy who runs it is a real nice chap, shame there are people abusing the goodwill of a community member.
Your comp may just need to be rebooted. Or maybe uninstalling and giving at a fresh install should work for it.
I used to get -3... but i figured there was something amiss. So i searched around and found that some poeple had solved thier problem by starting thier game with /no sound in the target line. Had a steady 6-3 after that. Not great but certainly better. I also tried unclicking reverb when i played with sound and that also improved performance.
My suggestion would to be to type in dxdiag in your run or search with vista and send it to support with an explanation of what is happeneing.
As one of the noobs who has bought priest too early, I never would have done so if my team mate had informed me that is a foolish thing to do. just talk to your team and ask them politely. If they dont talk or listen well thats just luck of the draw. Eventually people learn from thier mistakes all games have some learning curve.
It might also be helpful to go here http://forums.demigodthegame.com/forum/524 to look up some tips, if you look around enough you'll find guides for specific demigods and as a fellow newcomer i have found them to be very handy to make up some of the gap for inexperience although i think i'm barely average ;)
I think that impulse is required for online play as it uses your impulse account to sign into multiplayer. I dont think you actually need impulse running in the background however to sign in, just your account info. Hope that was clear ^^
I am a new player, but i also got in a 3vs2 matchup but me and my teammate were thumping the oppents rather well but midgame he lagged out and the AI had the bright idea of following the enemy deep in there territory and getting sniped by the two regulus's once his health got low. I actually enjoyed it, and i may have won even if it wasnt domination type game. It wasnt and i was out manuevered in the end :(
I think they oughta put a buddy list in game somehow, or atleast give you the abilty to see if they are online or playing a game. The way the pantheon works it might be possible to implement a sort of skill matchmaking thing halo had... maybe based on win/loss ratio though i dont know the size of the DG community and how much that would effect time to get in a game. For the most part i've met alot of nice people but I have no way of keeping tabs on them through the game itself, i thin
I had the same problem. All I had to do was re-enter all the info and it worked, but i havent a clue why that worked because all the info was right before.
Eh, I am not a fan of paying for DLC. If a developer listens to thier community and makes the DLC worth a purchase its different. However, most DLC has been an complete dissapointment. If GPG makes the content worth its salt, then maybe i sould purchase the content, but I dont think DLC should be considered an investment in thier community and not so much an investment in thier bank account.
Hey guys, This is a quick question and its going to make me seem like an idiot but its bugging me. How the heck do you set up a starbase for the vasari? I played through as the Advent and i saw they had a cruiser that set up as a starbase, simple. Now im playing as the Vasari and i dont see anything that turns into a starbase or builds one and its pissing me off.
Hello, I am using vista x64 and i downloaded and installed Sins of a solar Empire, however i have had one major problem with any game i install and thats that if it goes in the /program files (x86)/ directory it does not work. Now i've been shouting profanities at Impulse and cursing it for not letting decide what directory i want to put it in. If i could just put it in C:/stardock/sins i could run the program and everything would be hunky doory but flipping impulse for some i
