Tkins you might be able to make the raid thing some sort of super weapon deal, since you can make abilities cost resources now you might be able to create some sort of "special" building or tower that has the ability that you want, and it will cost a certain amount of resources. Then after a certain amount of cool down or none at all, you could spend the resources again, it would create the same effect of researching again.

First, Hack 78 you read an entire EULA, I think I am going to have a plaque made for you and hang it on my wall, "The man who read an entire EULA". Second I agree with the part about stating whether or not software uses the the securerom and similar security software for the disc. I remember the whole thing with (I don't remember the name "star-something") security software that messed up peoples O/S and even broke some peoples cd rom drivers. It ended preventing the sales of the g

[quote who="Hack78" reply="6" id="1942786"]So to put this whole debate to rest 1) Impulse needs to allow you to view the EULA before you buy the game online. 2) Stores need to have a way for the customers to read the EULA before they buy the game 3) Perhaps there needs to be a central EULA site that all software EULAs can be found at for just this reason... Hmm - these's an idea... Frogboy - contact me if you are interested in setting up this busine

Well I posted a possible troubleshooting tip earlier and I see this has swinged to arguing about the EULA. Just so you guys know I do not think anyone expects the EULA's of any company to be enforcible on a large scale. The EULA is mainly a CYA deal. (Covery your #@@) This keeps idiots who want to sue for random reason from screwing the software company over. Think of it this way, if microsoft didn't have an EULA somebody would try to sue them for a relative that w

I am somewhat new to the modding of this game, but I was wondering if anyone has found a way around the multiple mods issue? (Please forgive my ignorance) This would make it easier for your memory management issues because then people could just enable the races they wanted and go from there. And then have one for people like me with 8 gb of ram to have the entire mod. :D Just thought maybe it would be easier to tackle that one small issue (if its not impossible to ach

"YARRR" there be pirates on tis website! Pull out your USB drives gents, there be forums lovers here "YAHHARR" In all seriousness, the problem with "legal speak" is all about proving interpretation and how you say what your doing. If you saying your copying games its illegal, "archiving" for later use but you "lost" your original its legal. A game like this where there is no copywrite protection, yea someone can buy the game, copy it, keep t

I haven't played the Beta, but judging from what you guys are discussing I would have to agree if the mines are big as cruisers or capital ships I would have to say thats too big. A mine is a nothing but a pure explosive. If a Mine is the size of a capital or a cruiser, it would completly destroy whatever it hits I would think, unless they loaded it with salt -peter heheh. Second if they were that big it wouldn't be as believable that it requires scouts to see them. Example: Capita
