http://www.rockstargames.com/IV/ Anyone else getting this? I have pre-ordered, and will be going to the midnight opening to pick it up. It is due to release this next Tuesday (4/29/08). I am not sure when the last time I was this excited about a game...maybe Lord of the Rings Online. I just know that this game looks like it is going to be AWESO

Here is my issue with the Obama-Wright thing.... I have no problem really with what Wright has said. I disagree with him, and greatly at that. But, he has a right to say whatever he wants to say, I guess. My problem is that a man who is very very close to becoming President of the United States, a man who wants to run this country, is so closely related and intertwined with another man who outright HATES America. The fact that there are so many ppl who cannot understand why the

ok....i feel stupid, but I figured out what I did wrong. After looking at the pic of the folder and the address bar...I finally figured it out. Somehow, I installed the mod into a folder, and that is what was messing it up. Anyways....now, that it looks like it is working correctly, I am excited about getting into it. Chris

no problem...sorry about asking that here....i just saw that there were some ppl talking about merging them. Anyways.... I reinstalled your mod. And, I am probably just being idiotic....but where exactly do I find the Gas Giant Colonization? I cannot find it anywhere....this is why I am thinking I installed it incorrectly.... Chris

Are there plans to have an official merged Sins Plus + Mars Effect mod? I have done (well...I think I have done) what you said to do....but I am not so sure really that anything was done. Nothing seems much different in-game.... Chris

Zaro2, reading your post, that is what I would like to be done with the game, but I have NO IDEA really even as to how to get that done. Was wondering....would it be possible to get those files that you changed from you? Just wondering.... Chris

ID, are you one of the devs for this game? (I have been out of the loop for a few months). If so, incredible game you got. I just bought it yesterday, so I am still learning, but I really liked what I saw. sorry for the little derail, but I saw you post something on one of the other forums I go to alot. Chris

I, and my wife, are both Conservative.....and neither of us are "republicans". And what democrats are you talking about being so centrist?

Gid, he has answered me before (in another thread, not sure which one). And he basically said that he will not pray for Bush, and that he will not forgive Bush until Bush asks for forgiveness. I have told him before that that is not the Christian way of doing things, but, all I got in reply was a bunch of hate-filled spit in my face (both for Bush and for me). But, when he continues to "quote" the Bible, declaring any and all who do not agree with him "politics" evil sinners g

you know Gene....I gotta call you out. You keep bringing up the Scriptures. But on what authority? Especially when you flat out refuse to do the commands of God. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Mat 22:37-40 KJV

If Pres. Bush has indeed broken the law, then yes. Justice should be done. But again, we should be praying for him. And not praying that fire be brought down from heaven and roast him on the spot. But true intercession. That is what I am saying....pray for the man's soul, and that he get right with God, and live a good life. To do that, though, we need to put aside our politics (which Gene seems unable to do). Put aside our feelings and thoughts towards the man, and pray for him accordi

praying for a man has nothing to do with him being responsible for his actions. Where in the world did you get that from my posts? YES, and a thousand times YES, Bush is responsible for his own actions and life. But, we are responsible for our actions and lives, and God has declared that we are to pray for those in authority. If we don't....then we are just as wrong as the people that we should be praying for. Just because Bush is doing something wrong doesn't mean we stop pr

And...yes....God has given every man the ability to choose. And God will not force Bush to do what he should. BUT....God has COMMANDED Christians to pray anyways. This isn't about Bush, this is about you doing the will of God and praying for the man, or just telling God to shut up and leave you alone because you don't like the guy. You don't have to like the man, but you do have to love him (agape love, unconditional love). If you cannot forgive him, and love him, and pray for him, the

that is your excuse for not doing what God has commanded you to do? FIRST OF all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way. For such [praying] is good and right, and [it is] pleasing and acc

Gene, I am trying to help you here. The Bible tells us, above all things, to pray for ALL men. Not just those we like or agree with or like being around. That is easy to do that. What we are called and commanded by God is to love all men, pray for them, and forgive anyone that has done anything against us. If we cannot forgive them, then how can we expect God to forgive us? It would be a shame to spend a lifetime of hate, and then in the end, be without God's forgiv

Gene....you claim to be a Christian. So, here is a question: Do you pray daily for President Bush. I mean, really pray for the man. Intercede for him. Pray that he would seek God, and make the right choices, no matter how much under pressure he is in. Putting away all political motivivation, and simply stand in the gap for the man and PRAY for him? Because, if you are a Christian (as you seem to say you are), you should be doing that, because that is what God has called us to

I have games in Armageddon Empires going, and Civ 4 (Beyond the Sword xpack). I also have Lost Empire, but haven't played it for a little while. The only rts I really play is Europa Universalis 3. Another great game is Total Extreme Wrestling. My MMO of choice is Lord of the Rings Online, but also playing Planetside again. Chris

wow....so I was playing a 3 player game (I was the Empire of Man vs. The Machines vs. Xenopods). My first contact was with the Machines up in the north. I hwas having a difficult time really getting my war machine started, as I just couldn't really get enough resources to do much. I was finally getting things started, getting a decent army to my north, and launching air to ground attacks into the Machines' base. I knew that the Xenopods had to be somewhere to the east of me,

the first couple of turns go by pretty quick. But, things you can do: 1. draw cards (up to 8 maximum, except for the Machine Empire faction, they get 9) 2. get a hero out on turn 2 if possible, then you can start to build up your resource collection 3. some units (recon unit, for example) only need 1 of each resource. I usually don't spend the resources to get the initiative advantage in the roll, use those early resources to get your units out. As for making a

Well, that is really, the only thing about the game that surprises me. There is no Multiplayer. This game SCREAMS multiplayer. He chose (and he cited Brad Wardell as his reasoning, even) to focus on the AI, instead of adding a multiplayer component. He is a "one-man show", so he felt he needed to choose. Kinda sucks, though, but hopefully, maybe, eventually a multiplayer aspect will be put in. But....on one of the other message boards (Octopus Overlords or Quarter to 3), he said that t
