Eoynn you have a good point but there wont be any "best" heroes. Thats the whole point of frogboys speech, they making 8 demigods so balance wont be an issue, and with this beta and the way they are taking in our feedback at the moment I really dont see any "best heroes" emerging. Oh and they will add heroes in the future + we should be gettin Occulus, an extra demigod (thats a guess)
Bullshit that this game shouldnt be unresponsive because your demigods are "big" and "slow" and a "seperate entity" - no excuse. But I only find this lag online, which to be fair is perfectly normal. Dont forget we are playing of hamachi which ofc will cause some lag aswell. When I play offline though I recieve 0 lag/unresponsive controls...its must be your computer and the fps of your game - or perhaps its just a beta :)
CTRL + ~ Dont actually press +. just means you have to press CTRL and ~ together.
Yea I think Beta 2 is gunna add a lot and official online multiplayer. Beta 1 is just an engine test so its understandable that its multiplayer isnt great, but Beta 2 is actually testing gameplay. More demigods/modes/maps/items etc. im guessing - and hopefully lots of patches!
Hey you should be able to start Beta 2 in around October. Dont worry your not missing out on THAT much atm, Beta 2 should be twice as good as Beta 1 :)
My point is that 8/9 demigods is more than enough. They can concentrate on making them quality :P
imo 8-12 unique, quality choices is better than 91 similar choices.

You forgot to add in your demigod caculations how much more skills they have(and 100% WILL have) and how they unique they are compared to the ones in DotA. (you forgot to do 8x48 620 due to Demigod having 8 maps, which = 388 960) You see quantity does not = quality. If you ask me, 388 960 is more than enough combinations for me. I would much rather 388 960 QUALITY combo's, then 622 614 630 </str

But Jebo, is 80+ heroes good or bad? Is having to memorize wat items to buy good/bad? Is recipes good or bad? With different people some are good, and some are bad.
Although I agree generally what innociv is saying, you cant really compare GW to Demigod can you? Gw had 6-10 classes...Now count the number of combinations of classes you can have together (primary/secondary). Yea thats a definate 30+ amount of different classes...Each class has about 300+ skills or so? There are about 1000+ different items? Getting the drift... Guild Wars and Demigod are two different genres...Demigod is rts/rpg and Guild Wars is mmorpg. Regarding the theme

Only demigod collisoin would be a good idea coz when 2 rooks fight sometimes targeting is impossilbe. Apart from that I see no need for creep - demigod collision and would just make things more annoying :S Dont see why you would want that added? Theres just no need for it atm..

This idea has been tried in CNC3/RA3 and has been near to compeltely useless and waste of resources. Vent + Teamspeak is fine :)
Most GR replays (or at least a very fair amount of them) are of great quality. The community at Gamereplays.org is made up of players who are into competitive gaming and do not support single player/unbalanced but fun games. Because of this nature most players are very good, and so we get LOTS of very high quality replays. Also we have a very effective (and accurate) reviewing/rating system that allows players to filter out that the replays that lack quality with the ones are of the highest q
