I'm so stupid, I can't read. This is what usually happens: I update some settings, like where text is located or what functions they do, etc. and then a few minutes afterword the text change and the hands on the analog clock disapear. When I try to look at the configuration, or try to close the program, I get that error message. It only does it with the skin I created. But when I look through the settings and such, I can't see if its what I did that created the problem.

This is the exact error I recieve. Before I paste it though, I would like to stress the fact, this is an amazing program Ok on with the error message. "Run-time error '-2147024882 (8007000e)': Out of memory"
While making my skin for SysMetrix, I've been recieving Run-time errors. The hands on the clock disapears and the text goes to the default. I am then forced to restart SysMetrix. Does anybody know what could be causing this conundrum? Could it be my old crappy computer or something I'm doing wrong while programming it (well, not really programming, but some skinners should know what I mean). I'm running win98 on a crappy 200MhRz computer. Also the skin i created has a lot of transparenc
try downloading it from Xymantix's website, located here: http://www.xymantix.com/sysmetrix/index.html
Wow, I wasn't expecting this many replys. Thanks to everybody! Now i have to go and read up on all this stuff
I just started using photoshop for creating skins, but I can't seem for the life of me to find out how to make things look like aluminium or metal. If I try to use the "filters" all it looks like is crap. Is there an easy way to do this? To make it a skin look like steal or aluminium? Please get back to me!
if you read some of yesterdays news you'd see this: Any slowness on WinCustomize you experience presently isn't due to bandwidth but is rather because we've maxed out the CPUs on our servers. This new one will hopefully make a significant difference. hope that settled some stuff for yah
Maybe I should re-think this entire thing, my life is very important to me Though I've already started working on my SysMetrix skin, and it's coming together nicely. I will keep in touch.
Xymantix and Dangeruss, thank you for your words of encouragement. I'm sure i'll get it some time. Maybe i'll work on something this week and upload it to the site when i'm done. I'll look forward from hearing (maybe) your feedback on them. As I am still a newbie with this skinning thing
Dangeruss... I would definatly do that, except everything I try to do artistically on the computer turns out like crap! Maybe I can read some tutorials or something. Do you know where the best place to go is?
I just discovered SysMetrix this evening, and I've fallen in love with it. The only thing is, there are only 26 themes on this site. Is anybody working on anything that I need? Or is anybody working on creating madd themes for this slick program?
