I'm probably in the minority, but I find champions to be pretty week overall, and these wounds just make weak units weaker. They have a hard time surviving battles to get levels ups, and are pretty weak until you find powerful magic weapons and are able to buy them champions gear. They pretty much just sit back and debufff with magic, or do nothing at all. I really wish Kael would have went in a different direction with how c

I *like* building my capitol into a supercity with all the world-wonders and one-per-faction buildings and a huge population providing synergistic benefits. My idea of city specialization is one huge city "specializing" in being huge & great, with captured villages off in the distance. Please DON'T limit the number of building we can have in any one city. I'd be fine with a one-tile city and a separate build screen, especially if it has as auto-locate function
Current campaign is crashing about every 6 or 7 turns, mostly when I am doing nothing but turtling in my cities hitting next turn. Even worse than usual, and I have 60 crash zips from the last week. crash zip http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8928343/FallenEnchantress0_86-2012-03-31T10-06-20-875.zip debug.err <a href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8928343/debug
There are two places where you can try to tell the system to have faster animations... Game options has a 1x, 2x, 3x setting which appears to do nothing. In battle there's a 1x, 2x, 5x setting which works, and is remembered from battle to battle until you exit, but it goes back to 1x when you start the game. I'd like the options setting to work, and set a default speed. 2nd-best would be to have the in-battle setting remembered after exit and restart.
I'd like the final release version to show my top-10 scores, with date & sovie name, not just how my current game compared to Janusk & Co. In other words, I'd like a slightly beefed up version of MoM scorecard. The current system looks a lot like original Civilization 1 for DOS. But no hurry, since I expect scores between different beta versions won't be comparable anyway. ------ Also, does anyone know how the score is calculated ? &nb
May all your teeth fall out but one, so you can still get a toothache. (supposed to be an ancient Arab curse, and winner of somebody's "best curse" survey a decade or 3 ago)
If there is a need to make the locked heroes more desirable, perhaps they could have better starting stats or have a free trait or two.
This.
Add one more to the turn off auto-select next unit parade.
Left-clicking on the same spot repeatedly should cycle thru the separate armies.
Crashed on next-turn. Loaded from couple turns before. Crashed on next turn at the same place. This is from the 2nd time. debug.err http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8928343/debug-next-turn-again.err crash zip http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8928343/FallenEnchantress0_86-2012-03-24T17-12-47-421.zip

Ok, I'm an idiot re spell-checking. But there is a difference between having the minions doing you fighting for you, or even strengthening them so the can serve you better, vs weakening yourself personally to strengthen them. Just doesn't fit the evil image. And I still can't picture a "good" guy massacring a town to gain hit points.
The soul stealing spell that kills a friendly hero to steal a spell-book from him doesn't seem like something a good sovie would cast. Paragon doesn't seem like something an evil sovie would cast. Come on, sacrifice some of you vital stats to benefit a subordinate? They'd kick you out of the villains guild. It's ok in the beta, so everyone can cast everything no matter if they are good or evil, but I hope they clean this up before go-live. May
XP 32-bit here. Probably a new Win-7 64-bit rig this summer.
FE will probably be the last game we make that supports XP.
Not trying to be too sarcastic here, but if Win-8 is a dire as some of what I hear, maybe you need to start supporting iOS and Chrome. When's the last game you will make that supports Windows ? Oh, wait -- I am being too sarcastic.
Once your sovereign has magic champion armors that give 1 strength / dexterity / constitution per level, then the paragon spell no longer reduces those stats off the sovie and you can cast it with no limit except your mana supply. Of course, I'm having too much fun exploiting this to do anything silly like ask them to fix it :) I currently have a hero at level 90-something. The fact that you could get up that high has been reported before, as was the fa

I use them 2 LED monitors and a CCFL TV at home, 1 LED and 1 CCFL at work. No problem. But, I start off tweaking brightness & contrast 1st thing when I set one up. Contrary to the article, most new monitors seem to be too bright at default settings and dimming them down makes them easier on my eyes. The monitor I'm writing this on was almost unusable out of the box, but was fixed in a few minutes (brightness was too high, and reducing it had the extra benefit o
Never much liked campaigns in other games. I expect it could be a good intro to the game world for new buyers after the game comes out, but by that time most of us here will have already gotten most the intro we need from the beta.
In the lawful / chaotic spread, wouldn't "pragmatic" be a better term for the in-between than "neutral", especially since 'neutral' is between good & evil. Then Resolin could be "pragmatic neutral" instead of "true neutral" (which I assume the chose because "neutral neutral" would be too tacky).
So it still happens ?! I've been avoiding standby since it messed up .7x. Sigh, guess I should test again.
