I find 2 vs 1 games with locked teams the most dyanmic. I make the sole AI enemy difficult and tailor my AI ally to suit my tastes and handicap. So far, I get to play defensive and offensive games without being overwhelmed by pirates or the AI..as I have the ally to absorb the constant drip-drip-drip of trouble.

Fleet phase jumping is wonky, the paradigm needs changing. Make a bubble, ships in the bubble phase, if they miss it, they take the next bubble. Higher tech means the bubble is bigger, faster. As it stands now, phase jump behavior is comical and worse: unreliable.

I'm still trying to find the sweet spot with timing, I find the events either happen too fast or too slow for my tastes. The more planets, the worse it gets...upgrading planets should have some automation capabiliites....I find checking planets for available upgrades annoying. I also abhor the delay in ship amneuvers, especially jumping to another system, it reminds me too much of Star Wars: Rebellion....and if you have never had the ..um..joy of dealing with ships out

The "problems" we keep seeing are not of impulse itself. I dunno, I had a conflict between Impulse and .NET and it took a few updates to finally put that to rest. I still get page script errors and "internet not connected" errors due to IE not being my default browser so I have to 'pre-connect' before I launch Impulse. That said, I'm not complaining at all..I like not needing Impulse running! Strong feedback and frequent updates keep me as satisifed as you...and

I didn't realize I was being unclear: the other empires in single player games give you tasks that you can complete or fail. If you complete the task you get a bonus, if you fail you get a penalty on the sliding diplomatic 0-100 scale. You get rewards in gold, metal and crystal if you complete the task in the alloted time. My gripe is the tasks are too difficult too soon. Asking me to destroy 4 civilian structures on my enemy in the first 30 minutes of the game, when I do not kn

I like the idea of assigned tasks, it was a pleasant surprise to have the first one issued. Too bad it was a task along the lines of "ok, win the game in 30 minutes"....by virtue of asking me to assault the homeworld of my enemy, which I had yet to find and had no ability to destroy all the structures nor the fleet to fight my way to the system. After losing a few games to my allies sudden wrath, I wonder if the tasks are just too difficult and too focused on destruction. At first, wh

In a 2v1v1 game, I was unable to complete the difficult tasks and my relationship with my ally soured to the point of war, ending the game prematurely and making me angry, very angry. It is hard enough to play this game and dance the razors edge as a newbie but I have never had a game take a teammate and turn him against me. How do I prevent this in the future? Is there a 'permanent ally' setting.

I created a 2v2 and the game became a 2v1, with my ally and I still surviving. The Pirates were active and I clicked on the button to increase the bounty on my enemy, but it increased it on the destroyed faction not the remaning faction. I had to go into the diplomacy menu, selct pirates and increase the bounty from there. On that screen as well the eliminated faction was highlighted. But the dull button for the surviving faction worked. 100% reproducable...and let me gu

My apologies if I should have looked into something so obvious, I saw a thread about bug reporting somewhere and I'll report anything else that bugs me there...I'm new to Sins, still in the getting-to-know-you phase, thumbs up for the quick reply.

I like to use my mouse button 3+4 (which are page up and page down resepctively) for zoom in and out. I can easy set this in the Key Bindings and it works well. However this binding does not carry through to other games, I have to redo these two bindings every time I start the game. I have not done any other bindings, just these and everything otherwise appears normal or typical. Ideas?

I have the retail box and Sins is installed in Impulse but for the life of me I can't remember which method I choose. Odd as this might sound I think I was instructed to pay less for the game at a retail shoppe, to save me money and boost retail sales figures and save Stardock the cost of the digital download. Everybody wins!

I've played GC from the beginning, TA is the proper last chapter..the new rendered UI is great, it's fast too. I just wish the AI was more 'human'. But the ship building is layers and layers of lego-building fun.
