Is there a time frame for the demo? I own the game but I have a few friends I want to keep in the loop. They were big MoM fans. Assuming 1.1 comes out in October, add in a few hot fixes, carry the 5, I thought perhaps late November?

1.09 rocks my face off. I did get an OOM crash but I was 300 turns in or so. I havn't really notices any buggy things that hamped my game play, ie mana disappearing, powers not working.
I've seen this happen too. It hapened to me during previous version though so I don't think its tied to 1.09
Its ok. I haven't tried the imbue thing but it sounds like cheese to me. Exploiting a completely unbalanced aspect of the game then saying the AI is no good is rather silly. I think the AI in starcraft 2 is decent but it can't handle things like a protoss cannon rush. Protoss cannon rush is cheesy just like the imbue thing. It's a waste of time to build up the AI to combat that strategy if the magic system is changing so drastically. I'm not really expecting a whole lot
Thanks for the work around Velmaric, thanks for the quick hotfix Devs.
Just happened to me I have a save game. I loaded it and repeated the crash three times in a row. Steps: Load Save. End Turn. Attack Town with Sions in south west corner. Tactical Battle. Use sion's special attack. Crash. Profit?? Sion Crash I have vista and an ATI card.
Ditto on this, I have a save game with some units that this happens to ie sions, spys, and demons. Their mana is very erratic. Often I have a bunch of mana at the end of the battle and non when I start the next one. Sometimes the spy (who doesn't even have any spells to cast in v1.08) will have odd amounts of mana as well. I do have several +50% essence building in my cities. Not sure if that is related. My save game is saved right before a
I started a freshgame. The magic is much more powerful. I dropped 7 enemy units with one blizzard. I think I did 13 to most of them. In previous version I used to just miss or do like 2 damage. This is much kewler and actually worth casting spells now. Yes they made the monsters worth less but they made it very likely you'd have a gold mine right next to your start area so I feel like that balances fine. My starting town after some adventuring research has 3 gold mines now. I didn't h
