Well, I may have lost my capital and all of my land armies, but Abysia will endure in the sea. Our massive shark army will allow us to stick around until the bitter end!

Well Abysia is pretty much dead, so I don't have much of a voice here... But I hope y'all continue on. I'm very curious to see who comes out on top in this one.
One word answer to question "Is Mount and Blade worth it": Yes. Longer answer... But I still liked it better when it was in beta.
Yeah, I never was mailed the previous turn, and we still don't have Internet at our new apartment, so I didn't think to check on it. I assumed it had hung. Oh well, I'm in the getting-mopped-up stages anyway. No biggie.
Hello guys and gals! Ok, I'm back in regular Internet land for the foreseeable future. Looks like we've had an exciting week here. So the plan is to play turn 49? That works for me, I believe. After all, the forces of Abysia are just in the "getting mopped up stage."
So... Just a heads up on this little mini-problem we're having. I'll probably have Internet access again before Friday, but may not. I was planning on submitting this turn and then checking in again on Friday to do the next one... But it looks like I may not be able to do this one before I'm back out of Internet-land. However this situation is resolved, could we make sure the next hosting time is after Friday? Thanks!
ABYSIA, THE SMOULDERCONE - Reports of the demise of Abysia have, it seems, been greatly exaggerated. Following the glorious liberation of the capital from the armies of Sauromatia, thanks to the dozens of Anathement Salamanders and Dragons who had previously devoted their lives to research, Abysia has been free from hostile incursion for some time. As C'tis continues to deal with the Caelum threat, as well as increased pressure from their new border-mates from Neifelheim, Sa

I'm personally fine with going to a 72 hour schedule for that time. I'm also going to be traveling between mid-August and early September (though within the US, and with regular Internet access). Now, Abysia may be destroyed by then, but if it's not it wouldn't hurt to have a longer deadline, just in case.
Well... ABYSIA, THE SMOULDERCONE - Pundits agree, the Sauromatia threat will prove to be too much. Even the optimistic ones will be surprised if Abysia lasts the year. Though the war has only lasted a single month, and though the forces of C'tis now face an increasingly dangerous incursion from the winged men of Caelum, Abysia finds itself ravaged by the initial onslaught of the Sauromatian forces. "They're simply inhuman" said one Abysian soldier. "Their leaders don&#

Well, I'm sure you will eventually find another to preach the lies of your "god", and I can only hope that the new one will be wearing just as many magical items as Jake was. Don't you worry though, Joe -- Jake's expensive accoutrements will not go to waste. Already, they are adorning the sauromancers and shamans who converge on your capital.[/quote] Grumble grubmle.... </p
I'd love to join, but can't because the one game I'm in is more than enough right now. I am pleased, however, at the continued subversive presence of Dominions 3 games in the "Recent Posts" list. We, the would-be players of Elemental games, are sending a message, methinks.
The funny thing is, louist and I haven't actually communicated at all. I've only briefly even seen him on the map with my scoutsassins. Definitely not a vassal, by any stretch.
Well, I'm willing to drop the bomb... Sauromatia is ending its NAP3 with Abysia in response to the entrance of Caelum into the war between us and C'tis. I've called upon my allies in Neifelheim and Ulm to join with me in defending Abysia and making war on C'tis and Sauromatia. I don't think any of that is in confidence, at this point. And even if it were, it won't be for long. Assuming Ulm and Neifelheim both answer the call, we'

I'd be fine with 48 hours over the weekend. We're getting close to the point where we might need to think about moving the turn time up anyway.
Yeah, I was particularly disappointed at the performance of my northern army. There were heavy losses up there, especially among the burning ones, which are not cheap. That said, and as your own forces discovered, Abysian PD is as strong as any in the game, so even my undefended provinces are not going to be a cakewalk. All in all, I have a feeling this might be a protracted battle. Especially once I actually get priests into my army to combat your undead hordes.
Piggy-backing on Kamamura, it's worth noting too that the level of a spell in Dominions is not the sole determinate of its usefulness or power. Dominions has a massive spell book, and the combinations of spells with nations, spells with troops, spells with mages, spells with other spells, and so on mean that there are far more "game breaking" things you can do than cast horror marks or curses on everything. Indeed, sometimes that would be a total waste of valuable casting turn

I promised them there will be ice cream once we take your capital. I am at work and cannot load up the game and see what happened in our skirmishes. Looks like you did slightly better than I did, based on the stats before and after, but not by much. Can't wait to see the carnage when I get home from work tonight.[/quote
Ha! "The Smouldercone" is one of our capital's magical sites. It's the volcano at the heart of the Abysian Empire.
Two dispatches from our capital ABYSIA, THE SMOULDERCONE - The war is about to begin. The citizens of Abysia who appointed Joe their leader hoped never to see this day. They thought that maybe, this time, they could live in fiery peace. But Joe, in his wisdom, has lead the Abysians to war with their former friends, the lizard people of C'tis. Insiders have suggested that this is a foolish war, that any of Abysia's other neighbors would have been a more
While it is true that my assassins struck against Marverni without warning, it is also true that we had no diplomatic conversations with them prior to that strike. I have honored all of my NAP-3 diplomatic agreements, as is evidenced by my giving of fair warning before starting war with C'tis. So, to reiterate, we did not propose, or receive a proposal for - let alone agree to - a NAP with Marverni before our attack. We were, by the rules of the game, at war a
Ha! As if the troops of Marverni know of honor! The troops of Abysia are still seething over the beating Marverni gave us in the Elementalist game. We're even ready for your elephants, should you bring them to the battle field. As for waiting, we doubt your capacity to weaken and wound C'tis. Indeed, we feel that we must do so ourselves. To our neighbor C'tis: it is unfortunate that it comes to this, but we feel as though we must renounce our NAP, a
