line0042 I'm not sure the stick-up-your-ass approach is furthering your position very well. You may want to try something else.
I agree with DalzK on high-level Rook tower HP. I'm sure most agree with Shield+HOL. What about QoT Uproot? If it did the same damage, just 25% or so faster, it might actually be a viable alternative to shield + ground spikes + auto attack.
Sorry man but you did sound like you were whinig about not being able to catch someone faster than you even with the same items.
I'm not.
But at any rate, I may as well repeat that yes, everyone can just get the same speed items and make everyone's DG the same speed, but then they sacrifice all other kinds of bonuses for that speed which may ultimately be more beneficial. The real but implicit argument you're making here is that at essentially every level of gear and for every Demigod, improving speed is overwhelmingly more important than improving any other st
Then stop competing for speed, and try to surpass him somewhere else, maybe some -movement items. because the enemy has better speed does not mean he will always be able to run from a fight.
yes remove speed items. Then hell lets remove armor items too, because if i get armor, and my enemy gets armor, then we both are where we started right? Or maybe we can have like 1 boot in the game that you have to find on the map somewhere hidden, yea. /sarcasm off
Why remove them? I asked if you like this game mechanic? And having the same armor on two different demigods is different
You get Swift Anklet, so does your opponent. You get Boots of Speed, so does your opponent. You get Wand of Speed, so does your opponent. Maybe repeat this process later on with some Journey Man Boots. So now, even though everyone is running around like they're hopped up on the finest crank, in the end the inately faster Demigods are still faster, assuming similar gear. Oh it happened, there's five other people out there right now that I know saw it happen :) It just happened again on Prison when I tried to attack a tower.
I just played a game where my rook started humping the enemy citadel instead of attacking it. And when I say hump, I mean literally pelvic thrusts over and over, no swinging of the hammer, no damage done. Every time I gave my rook an attack order on the enemy citadel it would happen. I could trigger it from several different directions. We had minions all the way through giants. I had Journeyman Boots, Swift Anklet, Bulwark and third level passive stat boost. Anyone

You and your partner were shutting us down pretty hard.. you were winning all the battles. After the first 12minutes it was pretty apparent that you guys were well geared and had us at a level, gold and map advantage. In my experience once the other team gets a lead like that it's very ve
Good one Frogboy. Just keep pampering us with technical, logical explanations regarding our current problems and continue devising actual solutions to them. Raise the bar so high that no one can compete... I haven't seen this level of useful interaction with the community since the days of Carmack's .plan updates.
Monk, have you observed whether Demigod port requirements are properly announced via UPnP? Assuming the router is to spec and SPI is told to back off, is UPnP sufficient? I'm finding it very difficult to evaluate this on my own due to the intermittent problems Stardock is having. Please DO be technical with your answer, if you don't mind and have the time. Thank you!
I think GPG already nailed it with GPGNet - their clan and friend interface is outstanding. A similar system for Impulse would be really nice.
I'm suprised no one has mentioned that Demigod often crashes when you alt-tab from the game lobby screen, especially as the host.
Before you start thinking about new demigods, how about a better friends interface (so you can invite friends directly into a game), a clan system and getting replays to work (followed by live replays)? Those things would add tremendous value to the game. BTW, your support and willingness to communicate has been outstanding. 180 degrees from what I expected given GPG's track record with FA.
