Well, I've been pressing buttons all over the board, but it seems as though as of now there are no more cheats to be found...........
Banned for assuming there's a queen.
Banned for letting people appear in a court of law. Next thing you know, the terrorists will be banning bikinis!!
This is a very interesting, well, idea. But one thing I don't understand is how the specific ideas are supposed to be produced. Are they left up to the Big Roulette Wheel In The Sky? Do you get to pick the one you work towards like a conventional tech? Or do they appear naturally once you meet certain conditions?
Banned for proactivity.
Banned for being a.... something.

I love long answers. Another possibility is that the goodies on this planet are more political than tactical: say, the planet was discovered by Joe The Famous Explorer or has been selected as a microcosm "proving ground" by Unity, aliens, or somebody else, and thus has a lot of media attention on the people colonizing it. If they can succeed in taking control, they look really good, but if they fail nobody wants to side with them.

I concour. On a completely different note, I think i've finally figured out how the "dumb" animals communicate with the braintrees: they have a sense similar to that of terrestrial sharks, birds, and whales that allows them to pick up fluctuations in magnetic fields. Since moving electricity makes a magnetic field, and the braintree roots are moving a lot of electricity around, all the appropriately adapted creatures can listen in on their internal (and extrenal?) communications in a
Quo'noS . Not Klingon. Multiplayer doesn't really interest me too much, but this seems pretty fun. One thing I'm not sure about is if the "handling" of custom server games is done through Stardock or the server-maker, i.e. would a server-maker have to keep the computer running for people to play on the server (I have absolutely zero multiplayer experiance, so I have quite literally no idea if there is a "normal" way this is handled).
I councour with MRDread that nuclear technology is eventually going to speread across the world in fairly short order. However, countermeasures are going to advance just as quickly...... and the demoralizing/devastating effects of a solid nuking would pretty much force surrender, if not the official leader-comes-in-and-signs-his-name kind then the people-throw-him-out-or-just-stop-listening-to-him-to-make-the-bombing-stop kind.
Banned for assuming any of us appear in other threads.
Good news and bad news: while making a larger picture does work (it causes the FOW squares to expand and be tiled less frequently) somewhere between 724 and 6516 pixels (big range, I know) the game becomes hideously laggy, so creating a single image to cover the entire map is out of the question. I've been thinking about this mod's backstory, and one thing that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me is: Why such a big deal about this one planet? Sapce is quite large, and qui

You could always do a blue grid, or even *gasp* yellow! ............[e digicons];P[/e] in all seriousness, it might be worth a try to see how the game engine reacts to oversized images...... i.e. does it shrink them or tile them bigger or just crash: if you can make one image fill up the whole FOW, you could have it be
it seems stupid and not ancient-y... seriously, seeding three gates then moving to a whole new GALAXY? how many planets did the ancients need? really, seems like bad lore to me
Actually, this seems to make a lot of sense from a survival-of-the-species perspective: the larger and more diffuse their empire is, the harder it is for a threat (be it a hostile race, some sort of massive cataclysm, or internal decay) to take them all out. Rather than building "thickly"
