For example, if EA were to put Spore on Impulse and they insisted on using their own copy protection scheme, we have to abide by that whether we agree with their position or not.
As long as the unlimited downloads is non-negotiable, EA wouldn't be able to implement their copy protection on Impulse anyway. It's not negotiable, right?

It seems that Stardock doesn't like releasing games with a normal campaign. Though Pantheon does, admittedly, sound a lot cooler than a conventional campaign. [e digicons]O:)[/e]

The article itself is about 5 paragraphs long and only one of those, consisting of 4 sentences, calls out these ambiguties. It's not completely off base either. What makes a meaningful update? The drones would have to have some semi-stupid AI that keeps them fighting even if their command link breaks, that allows them to navigate to home port from wherever they are in the system, and they must be programmed to never attack their faction's capital ships or stations n

Good articles. I already own Company of Heroes, but you almost make me want to buy it again.
GalCiv2 would have helped with space terrain to provide natural chokes and points of interest.
Umm....no. Choke points may work in land battles, but in space there is no such thing as a choke point (not the way GalCiv does it, anyway; you'd need something like Sins). There isn't anything in space large enough to have that kind of influence.
I agree with your points, but I'd just like to say............. Death star.
No sane starbase designer would put a thermal exhaust port leading directly to the power generator. Firstly, the utility of a thermal exhaust port in space would be very limited: space doesn't have much to conduct heat with. Any exhaust port would need to be venting the station's atmosphere in order to do much anyway, which would cause plenty of prob

I stand firmly opposed to the Civilian Ship Safety Act. It undermines the foundation of everything we, as gamers, stand for: the ability to indiscriminately slaughter civilians with military-grade weapons with little or no difficulty. It must be repealed immediately. If we hope to survive as a nation, our civilian ships must be no safer than a vacuum-sealed cardboard box.
