it sounds like a good idea in theory, but prehaps some people actually prefer the normal tau ships to these FW varients. i can't comment, as i havn't seen either yet, but i shall do so now [Edit] okay yeah, i see what you meen. the FW tau ships are much better looking than the standard ones. also, are you thinking of adding Ramilies Starforts, and/or blackstone fortresses? wonderful! this sounds awesome. i always wanted to play the table top game, but no one i knew was interested, and the local GW didn't do it either. i'm pissed off, because i can't upgrade my SINS to 1.1, as it's someone elses game, running with out the disk. i'll probably get the game after christams in the sales. there are some truly brilliant mods for 1.1 i'd like to play, and this one comes at the top of that list

i hear din the 7DS forums, that you can actually change the fleet size yourself by playing around with one of the games main files. i have little to no knowledge modding. you could also do it as an optional patch. with 7DS, the 1.3c version is different to the 1.3D version, but you inly need a small patch to the main 1.3c download ot make 1.3d

my version is of someone elses disk. a mate recommended SINS to me, and lent me his disk. as it doesn't require the disk to run, i kept going, so, as i understand it, i can't get 1.1. however, i'm getting a gaming rig soon, and SINS will be among the first games i buy to go with it, and it's power (i'm running off a laptop that can't support it very well, but it manages... just)

how about Goal'd (sp?) you get Ha'tack motherships (again sp?), that fat-ass bomber whose name i can't remeber, scout ships, and death gliders. plenty of archetecture to be going on with, if you find a modeller, to come up with gap fillers BRAINWAVE: Replicators. awesome at killing planets, difficult to kill their ships, and a special attack that takes over enemy ships (firing a missile made of blocks into the target), but not really any good in actual combat. mor

i always semed to have problems in FA. i played it at a mates house, and i always got my ass kicked by the AI, even with a 20min rush block on, i could never get my shit together enough to be above T2 when the count ran out. i always tech up slowly. remember Age of Empires 2? honest to god, it would lake me 20 minutes at least to leave the Dark ages, because i was always to busy getting some sort of defence, doing all researches, and getting lots and lots of basic fighters togethe

didn't someone in here earlier give advice on how to keep both sins 1.05, and 1.1? can someone explain the prosess to me? the Stargate Acients mod is now for 1.1, and i'm interested in playing, but i want to be able to play 7DS as well i could just reinstall, but i gave my disk to a friend, and we havn't seen each other for me to get it back. and now we're at opposite ends of the country

i definatly don't game online for this reason. i rarely play competativly against human players, because i much prefer the feeling of jeopedy, when you both face a hard opponant, and band together, and then smash them apart. this is particularly true of large scale games like SINS and Supreme Commander. on the occasions where i have been against humans, they were friends, and we intended to make as big fleets (armies in SupCom) and smash them together for the lulz
