Perhaps a compromise is in order. What about leaving out or minimizing 2 canon races from the Kingdoms and 2 from the Empires? They would remain in the lore, just not available in the game or they would be minor compared to the remaining factions. That would free up resources for more custom art assets. It could be explained that the factions are more prevalent in other parts of the world, just not where the player is currently. Personally, I have yet to create

I also had a CTD on next turn. This was a new game, not one from a saved file. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5203735/Elemental0_302-2010-04-24T21-03-34-146.zip http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5203735/debug%20%282%29.err

I had one city built with a custom Soverign. I had not encountered any other faction. The main map was in view when the CTD occured but it happened right after closing the reseach screen. No mem dump was generated. debug.err dxdiag
A player should be allowed to guide where the road will go. I don't think it needs to be very granular, just a set of 'waypoints' and a start and end location. I don't have an opinion on builders but road construction should be stopped if an enemy unit is on any part of the built road.
My soverign was standing next to a resource when an opponent created a city. From that point on, the unit could not move. I have encountered this problem in an earlier beta with a soldier I had created and it seems to be the same problem.
Confirmed, it only seems to happen on a saved game. Updateing post now....
I tried to reproduce this bug but was unsuccessful. I did notice that the progress bar in the research panel seems to lead the milestones by a few turns.
Once you load a saved game, some of the milestones will no longer be unlocked even after you research them.
In a new map, if the sovereign starts on top of a goodie and the player tries to build without moving, there is no message informing the player that they can't build there. I would prefer to just prevent the sovereign from starting on the goodie. Map Random Seed: 1255012689
Message box appeared Error: No Auto Move Directive I had a scout auto exploring the map. At some point I received a message box with the text: "Error: No Auto Move Directive." I searched around the map and found my scout "stuck" inside AI player territory. I was not at war with this faction. I think what happened is the territory expanded around my scout and prevented any more auto moves. <a href="http://screencast.com/t/yYU5hzyh
