Alright got a response today and I am now able to update my game and make an online account for Sins. I still get an error message when I open StarDock Central that it has failed to validate my registration info, yet Stardock Central also allows me to update the game anyway. So I assume that I can just ignore this message and continue to update and play Sins online?

After contacting support, I was told to send some pictures of the serial directly to Travis G instead of the support e-mail using a subject line Authorized E-mail ####### (blocked because you said you did not want any account info on this posting) but I haven't heard anything back. This was on April 3, so I was thinking about resending the message because its been about 2 weeks but I wasn't sure if I should do that or not? Figured I would ask here since support has been monitoring the thread.

Well, even if Stardock does track down the source and stop these games from being repackaged (if that is the situation), that does not help you as a customer, it only helps future customers. That is why they are addressing people individually using e-mails. The reason they ask for a serial number picture is so that people do not download the game from a torrent and then send an e-mail to support to get a free serial number besides. As such, you at least have to buy a copy of the game legitimatel

Honestly I played a demo of this game for 360 and its pretty terrible. The concept is good on paper but that's it. There's these little flags (like CTF) that you have to capture. Once you do "the frontline" moves up to where you are and more allies become available. However to capture these areas you have to stand DIRECTLY on the marker. If the marker is in the middle of an open street then go stand there and get shot every time. The game continues to spawn players until you take each point, and

Yes I suppose you're right, the next shooter with the same features and better graphics always gets the widest reception. It's unfortunate that the industry forgets that even companies like Bungie started off making games in a computer station set up in one of their founder's garage before they got to Halo and Microsoft.

I don't know if it got completely ignored. I found it in a lot of gaming magazines, and I recall first hearing about it in Game Informer, which gave it quite the glowing review.

I've noticed quite a few posts regarding putting together stats tables and such, and it made me wonder why there was no strategy guide available for this game. I realize that without a single-player campaign it would be rather short, but that should make it cheaper to produce. And there would only be room for strategy tips and charts and tables, which are mostly used by hardcore gamers, but hardcore gamers are also the only people who buy strategy guides anyway. I know this is a bit of a ramble,

They seem to be completely behind this game and I would not be at all surprised if they plan on making a series out of this if everything goes well. Basically this game was a way for them to lay down the ground-work. It's a great game but (single-player included or not) I think there are going to be some expansion packs coming down the road that will include all kinds of features they didn't have time to put in for this game. If they do come up with an innovative way to weave in single-player li

I agree that RTS game campaigns tend to often be a little too linear but I do think that there is a really great story to be told from this game. Ironclad is trying to figure out some way of having a non-linear campaign so that they can break the mold a little. I think we should give them some time and see what they come up with for the expansion.

Who knows with that stuff. I've heard of those types of programs but I don't think any of them work either. Personally I still believe that EB Games and Gamestop repackaged some games and put them out there since the majority of us with problems got our games from there.

If anything they probably were trying to hack the game to be able to register it without having a valid registration number. They probably tried to make a registration key generator or something and the silly keys you say them talking about were probably some of the fake ones they generated. Honestly, I would mention that chat room to support so that if it is logged they can take a look at it. For legal reasons, you probably don't want to try any of the steps they listed in that chat room.

Ha ha wouldn't that be nice. If your serial number doesn't work, just make one up and Stardock will put it through the system for you. I'd love to know who told you that one. By the way as an update I just got another e-mail from support asking for some pictures of my serial and box. I e-mailed them out just now. That was less than 24 hour turn around. Anyone who keeps on saying that support isn't getting back to them is either sending duplicate e-mails or being a jerk in their e-mails and getti

I assume that this is all because of the fact that I cannot register and get updates, but when I try to log on I get I get the error message that I have the "Wrong Version of Ironclad Online Detected". Just wondering if anyone else is getting this message as well (in addition to the plethora of Serial Number invalid messages). Oh and as a side note support did just get back to me and had me try some things with Stardock central which did not work so now I have to send them my login.txt file to b

I think that the problem is someone repacking along the way with copies coming into Gamestop and EB Games, as CoverTops25 said. I know this is not what everyone wants to hear, but a problem like this really does not seem to be Stardocks fault. I'm sure they will help us out but everyone needs to be a little patient. Just practice against the computer a little and hone your skills until support can reply back to you with some info.
