Start/Run/and type cmd a comand line prompt window will open and display with this C:\Documents and Settings\whaterelseitwillsay\blaghblaghblagh> then change the directory path by typing cd C:\Documents and Settings\whaterelseitwillsay\blaghblaghblagh>cd followed by the desired path in this case it was C:\Documents and Settings\whaterelseitwillsay\blaghblaghblagh>c

glad it helped! my problem with the black model is that I have no idea how to make the .dds files and how do i make a bump map? i know how to associate them in the finalized mesh file I've modded a few ships in game but i have no ideas how to generate them to begin with. ds

ok, click Start/Control Panel/Folder Options this will bring up a new menu along the top of that box you will see three tabs General | View | File Types click View in the box that is titled [ Advanced Settings ] there is a list of settings! Now, about halfway down there is a yellow folder icon and two selection buttuns under it. select the [ O Show Hidden Files and Folders ] hit ok then close the window. n

Well, now that you've asked I have been learning the xsi program and it's not too bad. Don't get me wrong there is definatly a learning curve and it will take time but if you use the videos they give you you can pick it up pretty fast. as for the texturing it seems you can use photoshop... even elements if you use a dds converter which i do and it works out good. other than that its a lot of blood sweat and tears!
