to bad LRM's fire pass repel :D When you hit critical mass of LRM's and advent dont have lvl 6 radiance (our TEC player dont cluster them up in one group), then nothing with strategick importance will survive... your capitals, guardians... all will go down like sack of poo. so if you go against tec, hit his eco, cause LRM's are spammable, tradeports are not :D
Problem with LRM's is that it take insane micro to defeat them or just brute force of thing that countter them For instance, you can defeat sizable LRM force with fighters. But it take stupid micro to utilize the fighters to the full potential, where you can just stick the flaks there and forget abaut them. As advent, i still try to go Areia as soon as possible cause you can use them to harass enemy without taking anylosses yourself, and later having guardins with repell makse your carr

scout, numbers, balanced fleet. ive yet to see a fleet that beats TEC battleball. onlything that might come close is asvent Cleansing Malice. But it depends on capships so much its easy to snipe the progenitors.
there is maps with fixed starting positions. razor edge and anwil are one's iirc

baaa, there is maps that works like you want, a big allieanse clusterfu*k and nice dividet line. i find it far more intresting startting near enemy where i can double my cred income by nseting sova in his capital :D
scout the vasari. if you see 5+ imperial labs and no, or, one wepons lab. hes might be teching RA. If he builds gates, thats 100% evidence he is. meaning you will build ships. like TEC scouts with bomb ability, and rain on his parade. playing sim city in sapce and the whining in forums will not beat RA.

meh, try 2x sovan rush :D in FFA i rushed 2 players at once with sovans, got stupid credit income :D And no it dont effect the metal/crystal. The trik is to guess what kind of start the player takes. if he rushes to LRM's, you need fighters. If he got mass mediums, bombers are your wepons of choise. Also upgrading armor and hull will healp you out allot. Keys is to scout his every move as you bring the sovan near :D
