kinda the point? You consider losing a single capitol ship on the offensive, as the game was ending, a weakness? You failed to point out they spent the last hour focusing on the marza and never killed it. I posted that replay to back up the points I made in this thread. That high level TEC caps have game changing abilities, that TEC survivability(notice how long the marza took to die even without fighter support) is the best in the game, and TEC star base killing ability and star bas
Elrosh
only reason my marza died is because my fighters were trapped by vasari phasic traps, and i didnt want to armistice at that point. You notice i killed his level 9 cap and routed the entire planet for the cost one of marza? If you noticed how fast my caps were leveling, easily replaced. As for replacing my fleet, i never lost my fleet, my orgovs needed replacement, but that was about it.
Dunno if this falls into your criteria, but i think this was a really well played game with myself and some of few others regulars. http://www.gamefront.com/files/20400054/4v4+how+TEC+rolls.record
Ok, i got a replay here of how TEC rolls in early game, middle game and late game. Its a 4v4 with some average to above average players and myself. Basically, I have one partner leave early, another drop in mid game and the last one isolated and loses all his planets and then starts raiding. Point of this replay is to show how a well played TEC can dominate, and later on, can be literally unstoppable, based on the reasons i posted earlier in this thread. <div id="demo_code
Seleuceia, I have a feeling you haven't really played any good TEC players of late have you?
I can't stand all this TEC bashing while people glare over its very STRONG strengths other than Economy. I will break this down into 3 categories. 1. Capital Ships: All of TEC caps have game changing level 6 abilities on all capitol ships. If you get a cap to level 6 before your opponent, your chance of winning is greatly enhanced. Here are some examples. Akkan with armistice means you will NEVER lose your fleet if you don't want it to happen. Dunov with flux field means you c
Btw, I am not "Go Play Diplomacy", I was just tired of Dirty making so many whiny posts about diplo.
P.s. Stop whining.
why don't you take the time to look up whats new to diplomacy and make up your own mind. I am playing diplomacy, its better for online, period. I am not going to try to convince you, keep playing entrenchment, it will slowly die as it will not get any new blood, diplomacy will.
N3Rull, you clearly don't play mutliplayer that much, because you would know that I have 500ish games played and can hang with and beat many of the best players on ICO.
Darvin, your post clearly shows that you do not know much about the kol and TEC is general. You claim the progen and carrier caps are useful at level 1. Yes, at the very start of the game because they are inadequate late game. You think all those strike craft from those halycon are useful once someone had enough carriers and flak? You claim the kol is useless once the antimatter runs out, but you forget the kols deals a large amount of damage to fleets as well, thanks to be able to target FOU
The kol is the most powership capital in the game. Every cap has a weakness, and the kol has antimatter. But TEC has many tools availble to rememdy this problem, first is culture, maxed out, 1.5 antimatter a second, that is nothing to scoff at. Second, docking boons, 4.2 antimatter a second i believe. Combined, thats 5.7 antimatter in second in culture and docking boons before passive antimatter regen. Throw in the Dunov Flux Field, where antimatter costs plunge and the Kol is a ship that&nbs
didn't you know, these lists don't get updated.
starcraft 2 is going to curb stomp all other rts communities, we all know its just a matter of when.
volt, vasari repair is 15 health a second, can not be upgraded.
fist off nim, that game was never 3v1 as you say it was, and any idiot who watches it can tell my parters were worse than any ai, you never had to deal with more than 1 person or ai at a time. while i had to deal with harrassing ai, and a partner who couldnt fight off a ai at all
So kharma, were you that newb easy random in one of my games last night that couldnt kill a small fleet with sova in them?
Amazing comeback? I don't think so, You said your down 2 players early.....i contend i was down 3 players early. Chose was a retard and did nothing but die, same with gonzo and duke. It was me and kfear against you, lu, and greek. This game was a display how crappy players have no idea how to build counters. I am talking about chose and duke and gonzo, pure idiots. The only interesting thing about this game was me feeding and fleeting was the only thing that kept us in the game for over a hou
I disagree with you on the kol as well. The kol has the highest damage of all tec cap ships, the best survivability, and finest hour makes the kol so splash damage.....think about that for a second. the kol doing all its damage to a large area. Its very powerful, and multiple level 6 kols makes this even better. You likely never been on the recieving end of multiple high level kols. They are the only things in the game that have no real counter.
shared control when someone drops is a must
Eadtaes, it was whitedragon and some numbers, he was the newb.
I been playing around with the new AI difficulties, and I must say they have some short comings. I played a Ancient Gifts against 4 allied random vicious AI, and while I was surprised often by their sudden and unexpected attacks, and size of the attacked, the AI is unable to cope with star bases still. All it takes to defeat said AI is to build a star base, upgrade it, and never look back, because the AI is unable to build the fleet needed to kill it. True, the AI did build anti-struc
I would like to add [_]Howler to this list. I just finished a 3v3 with him in it, after his two partners got killed/left, he proceded to go afk while my team was forced to spend another 20 minutes to finsih off his worlds. Venlesto and major lag can attest to this.
i would like to back up protoplazm here, Capt. (glorius) did in fact do as he stated. I would also like to add kkrazy again to this list, as a few days ago, we were playing a game that lasted 6 hours, and 5 hours in, he gave up and went afk saying to have fun killing all his planets, which took another hour.
quar, i mean they give up/forfiet by the before i get to run to their homeworlds type thing. i doubt many players get a chance to actually kill all their planets in the first place.
