Look into a game called Imperium Galactica 2: Alliances. Its an old game, from 2000, but it might be right up your ally. Combines real time with the micro of a Masters of Orion.
GW, I agree with you. The evil/good (un)fallen dichotomy seems to have little to do with gameplay. Perhaps if player(s) gained/lost game bennies (of whatever sort) based on how much of the world's terrain they have transformed to their alignment - or something like this....
A "might makes right" style, I like it.

Would be awesome to either mod it in to WoM, or get it with FE. I always loved summoning Diablo, the four horsemen, and just watching as the other playes squirmed.
Or we could promote exercise, reduce food intake, and these problems would be relegated to history.
Seanw3, so you mean we will see Star Trek the original series again?
Any of you guys played any of the battlefront.com games? Such as combat mission, theatre of war, etc? They are all about tactics, and none about base building. Very interesting games. I personally love combat mission, for its unique gameplay style, and attention to detail.
The game Perimeter is all about your base, as your base allows you to win. Expansion of the base gives you the power to take direct control over your opponents base.
I will say this, I happen to be part of a great mod community for company of heroes, and we have done something different and interesting with the RTS genre. www.omgmod.org We have eliminated base building, and gone with a new system. Its about persistency and veterency. You use our browser launcher system to build your company, and our downloader to load battle files. It makes more sens
Only vampires confused about there identity. Normal vampires are boring these days....
My whole take on this is, if and its a big if, if they are coming here, and allow for the opportunity to be seen, then its a choice they have made. Given the amount of digital media that is available to many people around the world, getting some great high def footage is inevitable. The thing is, for it to be truly believed by people, it has to be on a legitimate news network, or acknowledged by a government. Now, who in there right mind would allow for the truth to be shown

So, she must be good at something ;) In all seriousness, wait the topic got off that. Look everyone, aliens are from mars, they are green
Yea, dude, you may want to update that video card. What kind of computer are you running? If its got a 6200 thats what 6-7 years old? Might be time for a complete update.
I am curious though on this whole divine intervention concept, as well, why the universe has to have a beginning. Organic life has beginnings and endings, not inorganic things. But then again, matter cannot be created nor can it be destroyed, it just is. Everything in the universe is comprised of molecules that have formed to create more complex things, our planet, us, other life forms. Everything points to the universe having started from a single hot point, and an ex
I have in mint condition, manuals for all the wing commander games, including armada. Love those games, one of these days will get around to putting them on a vm. Wow, have none of you read Descartes? It was more of joke than serious, oh well.
So, you are saying that since you have not witnessed any of those things for yourself that they do not exist? Or is it more that the entire universe is a product of your imagination, including the earth, its inhabitants, and your body?
@Istari Oh how I love the way you define God without doing so. That is very human of you. Remember, it was not long ago evidence showed us that humans can be trained to do and believe anything, as Pavlov's dog was trained to drool at the sound of a bell. Disagree with me? Look at the money Blizzard corp. is making with WoW. They used scientific studies in humans to design there quest systems for the sole purpose of creating addiction in humans to co

Simple people. If you bought the game before Oct 2010 then you get both standalone future games for free. If you bought the game after Oct 2010 but before the beginning of the year, then you get the first standalone free, and the second at a sharp discount. Its unfortunate that so many forum users can't read a simple post given by the developer. Its also sad that the education system of the US is making such stupid min

That carrier reminds me of the TCS Concordia, and of course our favorite 90's space sim.
After reading all these responses, one thing I have yet to see spoken of or mentioned is the intent of game length by SD. Now, say the intent of SD was to have a game last about 5 hours, or 300 turns. Based on the speed of progress through techs this seems appropriate. Now of course, if pacing seems far to fast, wouldn't going about creating a tech system similar to civ, and maybe making a separate research system for magic? Say, libraries give you tech points to speed
