frogboy does not like online play so he ordered the removal of it before it left stardock., at least that is what I remember him posting back in the beta time. harpo
the online game does NOT have tactical battles and also other changes that decrease the interest in the online version of the game. if stardock had made the online version the same as the offline version then it could be a lot more online play happening, but they did not, so the current situation. harpo

did a fresh install of win7x86 on a levino g530 w 3gb ddr2 750gb sata hdd installed all drivers(video is intel screen 1280x800), updated via windows update to latest through M$$$$, installed elemental & impulse, updated elemental to 1.4, added fav mods & addons started anew game on usual test map (size is 8x8 with upto 15 starts, had 4 ai & self game speed good (better than my core2duo e4500 w nvidia 7600gs system, but usually have 10 ai on it) <a title="ewom 1.4ctd"

had updated elemental to 1.4 started a new game on a 8x8 map extreme difficulty 15 opponents at 4.51pm, played to turn 307 then CTD at 11.13pm, checked for dump & zip in usual location (none found), rared dxdiag, debug.err & save games folder harpo

how about a flaming(burning flame image) spike that the rebel/enemy is sat on the top of, and when they get to the bottom they are cooked meat for the empire dregs to eat. benefit is .5 food/turn while town has rebels/active war and more fear in town, costs 1 rebel/enemy / turn & 20 material 10 turns to build and requires L3 town harpo
frogboy, there is one (bug/issue) that I have found ie a hero/sov can still enter shop and buy items even when the faction has NEGATIVE gildar. this has been in each of the versions since I found the exploit (from memory 1.1x and possibly earlier). possible fixes are either (1) prevent going to shop when gildar negative(quick & dirty fix), OR (2) in the shop if gildar negative block all buyable items, just leaving item selling(prefered method). <

to set up the shortcut, right mouse click on the shortcut to elemental, then left click on the properties, then in the TOPentry field (labeled 'Target') at the right end after the final ' " ' (you can get to this location in the field by pressing the 'end' button on the keyboard) press the space bar, then make sure the caps lock is ON and type in '/LOCALDATAONLY' (the extra does NOT work if in lower or mixed case only upper case), then click on the 'ok'
the beta (1.39) requires internet access UNLESS you have the '/LOCALDATAONLY' switch in the commandline for the shortcut. harpo
