Q. Does the Iron Engine support modding? A. Absolutely. Ironclad fully endorses the modding of its games for non-profit purposes. The Iron Engine is completely data-driven and is supported by the Forge Tool Suite. Modding instructions and the Forge Tool Suite will be provided. So.. are we going to be stuck with changing around some lines in the entities, or are we actually going to be able to modify at least

Er okay so I'm trying to make it so ships can move from one star to another without phase jumping. But, i still want to have the option of phase jumping.. Is this possible? And how I understand it, phase jumping is something the game does automatically. You say to move to a star and it goes to the edge of grav well and jumps. I'm trying to figure out how the hell to do this, or if the engine will even allow it..
@innociv - yes those are all valid issues. However as you know many of them we simply cant address right now since we don’t have the full tool set yet. Also thanks for your contributions in the projects threads. Your efforts are truly valued. Regarding your images.. Are you a doing this stuff for a living? If not you should be. I'm so jealous. All I have ever really want to be is an artist but like all pipe dreams the wind hears it best.
Well I'm a graphics artist f

eyah i saw on your forum.. Iwas wondering where those ships where from. If I was making it i would focus on making the mod more like the series though, not trying to fit the series to sins. :) Trying to find a bunch of ships who's roles will replace those of ships already in sins doesn't seem like the right idea to me. What makes BSG cool is 2 massive caps against each other, or 1 caps against 1, or 2 against 3, with swarms of manuverable fighters, in an epic battle tr

Eh i never finished it. I'm satisfied with how accurately i did the anatomy, but it's missing a ton of detail, and i made the rim of the ears to thin. But it was just a 3 hour practice thing i did. It's missing the fine wrinkle details, pores, and other stuff making the texture of the skin which would take at least another 3 hours. I don't know amazing detail about BSG's universe. =] I know there is more battlestars. But the thing is battlestars are mostly similar, and those

I hope to god the devs don't listen to you guys and you ruin the game.
I can't believe anywhere near half the people in this thread are serious. How many games have you people played online? The point on superweapons isn't even a valid issue. For the cost of a novaliths you can make freaking 30 assaliants or lrms, bypass peoples planets and go right to the novaliths, kill them. They'll

I'd love to use this online it's pretty perfect! Now buff Vasari carriers healing. It's shit compared to advent mothership. a 25% or 50% increase would be nice the same thing was done in another mod, one mod ill actually be trying and most other people as w

I'm okay at modeling and scripting myself. Here is an unfinished model I was working on: (missign tons of details on wha'ts there, missing the main hull.. just has armor plating, main engines, engine housing armor, tanks) Unfinished face model. I used adama for reference as it so happens. :x For the nose and how his skin is.

I would love to see a BSG mod. I love BSG. How a BSG mod should be is simple to me. Battles in the mod should look like battles in the show. :) Not like sins with BSG models. Sins would be great for BSG, however quite a few things would have to be reworked: -Balancing of the game. BSG is less about RPS, more about tactics. Sins is already good in this in that there isn't much rock paper scissors excluding lrms, carriers, and flak. -Z Axis. BSG uses it, sins doesn't

For the cost of a novaliths you can make freaking 30 assaliants or lrms, bypass peoples planets and go right to the novaliths, kill them. They'll die in less than 15 seconds against 30 assaliants or lrms. Go on to the next one. You've just destroyed 25k credits of buildings with 8k credits of ships.

Seeing as how many mods are under 1mb.. If I host a game with one will it automatically upload to other players like maps? Or do other players need to download the mod outside of the game? :(

Eh?.. Tecs armor tech only increases .5 per level. The other races techs give 1 or more per level.. The others seem more cost effective to me, unless i'm missing something. In the end, after all that money spent, I think they only give 1 more armor or something. Also don't Advent have the best AM upgrades?.. Or the cheapest at least. And their carriers cost far less crystal, which is crucial in comparing them.
