Personally I love the game, from 1.01 and now into 1.05. Yes, the UI has a lot of room for improvement. Yes I have minor stability issues. (I occasionally have to alt-tab out and alt-tab back in to clear up little graphical oddities). Yes, the strategic spells could be more epic. But the bottom line is that I love the game as is. Fixing the things I mentioned will make it better, but its worth it right now IMHO. I find the AI to be pretty comp

Yep, Beta 2A is a HUGE step forward. I was left pretty disappointed with Beta 2(it seemed bland and very unstable), but Beta 2A is a 180 degree flip for me. Its looking closer to the game we've been promised. Amazing amount of stability fixes , UI tweaks, and balance work. Hard to believe it improved this much in a week! Have the devs ever confirmed whether or not there will "living lairs" in the game? That is, dungeons/lairs that generate dynamically and begin to send out forces and exert influence on their surroundings if left alone too long? Like a miniature NPC-player.
