I have just updated impulse but MyColors still shows the compatibility dialog when I try to install it.
Smaky
OK... maybe I'm desperate, but I can't wait any longer for Deskscapes to run on Win 7... RTM is just a couple of weeks away. I hope it will be ready then!
Banned for having your carpal tunnel syndrome getting into your banning (get rid of those nasty number habbit)!
Any news on beta availability?
The reg file solved my problem... happy user again! Thanks.
Definetively this is an Impulse problem... I have just installed it on my work laptop (to install fences there) and it shows IP (as plain IconPackafer) & IP5 just fine, so I think it is impulse which is getting it's config data messed up. Is there a way to completely reset impulse metadata?
Nope... I have already done a reset data & manual restart of impulse but it will not show IP 5 anymore, just IP 4 which of course does not install under Windows 7. BTW, I already double checked that Show pre-release versions is checked.
Recently I received the trial expired error and found that the bets 5 no longer worked so I uninstalled it and found that it is not listed anymore... did you pull back IconPackager 5 beta?
Great to hear an upcoming update solves the issue... I stated to hate non-aero themes under Windows 7. Thanks Jeff
Recent update is causing problems under Windows 7, if I select any aero theme then fences disappear and double clicking on the desktop causes erratic behaviours (icons are not shown, or they are shown for a little time just to disappear). Selecting any non aero theme solves the problem.
Indeed, I am using Fences with Windows 7 RC 64 bits. I am not sure if there is "official" support Fen ces under Windows 7, specially conidering that fences itself is still a beta product. Anyway, what I've seen is that, in thepast, Jeff has helped us Windows 7 testers. (Specially when it was an invitation only beta). Doing some tests I´ve found that the problem is indeed related to personallizing Windows 7 background, and somehow related to Aero enabled themes. If I sele
I am experimenting this very same issue, but it only happens on one of my systems (laptop), my Desktop does not show this behaviour. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling fences... but the problem persisted. [quote]Bumping this, since I'm running the latest that Impulse thinks is available to me. But I'm encountering the problem on Win7 RC. Specifically, it happened when I accidentally started playing with wallpapers in Win7. I had selected a new wallpaper set, which would c
Is there a product path for SD apps under Windows 7 now?
Is IconPackager actually not yet compatible (at the beta level) with the Windows 7 RC yet?
Been testing Windowsblinds Beta for a couple of days... looking good. Thanks SD!
Ok, IconPackager is now showing (witout the Free thing) but I am not able to install it under Windows 7 RC 64 bits... I get the "This program is not compatible with your current Operating System" dialog. Is this correct? When the free software was showing, it did let me install under Windows 7 while the non-shareware version will not. Is this correct? Is IconPackager actually not yet compatible (at the beta level) with the RC yet?
Well, I am now testing on my Laptop (Which also dual boots to Win 7 RC) this time no IconPackager product is available (not even the Free one)
Yesterday I ran impulse (as usual), and after an small update I saw many updates available... among others, Windows Blinds 7, and IconPackager... but it was listed as IconPackafer (Free). After installing it... since I was not able to do so under my Windows 7 RC testing machine before, I found it was showing a 30 days trial period (although my Object Descktop subscription is current). So I uninstalled it and used Stardock Central to install IconPackager (version 4.10), now I am gettin
Yep I saw it a couple of days ago... it's like my faith is comming back. Shame on me!
Can't wait for the beta... and for updating my docklets for it.
I have been working on an updated version of my [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=14596&libid=29"]Digital Clock Docklet[/link]. With the help of Ghostwalker doing the skinning job, this new docklet will have, appart the original clock and stopwatch mode, a multi-alarms mode and a world clock mode. Letting you configure multiple one-time/repetitive alarms, multiple world clock for different cities. It's still a work in progress, right now an alpha version is
Well maybe it's exasperating... but the same goes for us. If only OD wold have a clearer product path then maybe we would stop asking all the time... just take a look at ObjectDock it's been two years since the last update... not even betas! And when I have asked... all I get is a "yes" there will be a version... sometime. I mean no harm... I really love OD products, I have brought OD+ and an Object Desktop subscription (and renewed it) but still I think that OD product roadmap is nev
Today I decided to give Microsoft Windows 7's timed wallpaper change a try. What I found is that if you wait until the wallpaper changes, fences disappear but do not get painted again when the wallpaper changes. Icons are not affected they still show, but the fence title and background does not. It's not a big problem since maximizing any window or placing them over the fences area will cause them to redraw.
I have it running aince release 1700, a couple of days ago I installed Windows 7 RC 64 bits and it worked just fine. As nzvoyager explains I started by installing impulse from where then installed ObjectDock Plus 535U. Then installed Stardock central to update it to 537u. All seems to work without (many) problems. Some docklet (downloaded from the OD gallery) will not work or have issues (some of mine among them). Currently I am working with both Vista & Windows 7 to troubleshoot
Whit the anouncement of Windows 7 RC are there any news on upcoming betas that support Windows 7?
