Big problem is that once monster raze city, it's ruined, even you careful, there is a.i spawn city all over map only to had monter ruined as well, no fun for me. When I said ruined, I mean you can't resettle on that spot again, and area as well.
Yes, too many time I using early item, but rare using high end gear because it's too long to reseach those tech all the way..for me that is. Early item is easy to reseach, short, simple, petty good for most of part....

Well, one I don't like a.i settle city, so I had rather raze and settle new city in a better one, before that, there is very deadly monster outside of my city zone come and destory my city for good...ok...now I had two thing, those land are no good anymore..I can't resettle, there is a green grass land, but still not settle at all, and there is no yield as well...even it's good to settle. It's seem Relias isn't very clever, when she said stone is her doom in his dream when I read a text of his dream, map where three demon make a dirty when need to cleaning stone up in quest text..., yet he carrier that stone to wake her up...I'm very, very aware that Relias bring rise of fallen rather than stop in act 2 at early to middle when I read and think careful....
Personly, it's should be limited to archer and spearmen, archer should 2 to 1 spearmen to make sence in city defense, However, I think they should upgrade to leather full on archer and spearmen if it a Fortress upgrade. but if Town or Conclave upgrade, might no leather, too many footman and few archer for city or castle defense don't make sence to me.. should be more number of archer and few spearmen to hold it out just like well real world..hmmm or could be Co
