Beta ver 0.41.2 Economy/Production system. Currently, in GalCiv III, the Economy/Production system is entirely based on Population. Explanation here: GalCiv III Economy 101 . "The Economy/Production formula works like this: (Population * AllocationPercentage) * (1 + ImprovementMod + PlanetMod + StarbaseMod + RacialMod) = Output" In the c

1) Strategic Map. Bugs. Shroud: unexplored area (opaque dark grey color). Fog of war: explored area, not visible outside scanner range (translucent light grey colored hexagons). * Black Holes can be seen through the Shroud (colored dots). * The connecting lines between opponent Planets and Shipyards can be seen

1) Planet screen. Smaller sprites for improvements and more hexagons for the planet --> more lisibility, more possibility, nice. Direct icons for all tiles bonus --> more lisibility, nice. Not very fan of the planet animation in the Planet screen. Even less when the planet has a moon; as the "planet surface" is transparent, the "moving moon" can be seen behind the "planet surface", quite disturbing. Maybe make it a screen option. <br

I support the idea of Heroes of Might and Magic 2/3 battles system. Quick battles, lot of possibilities, lot of fun. I even suggest to extend it to the invasion ground combats. Yes, I want to be able to send 50 legions of Sardaukar to Arrakis ;-)

@androshalforc Basically, the A and B parts are designed so that all the techs are important, because you must have all previous techs to be able to research the next. The only ways to get complete tech (Part A and Part B ) is spying and invasion, and perhaps anomalies. Say you get Tech_Weapon_01 to Tech_Weapon_09 by trading, so you only have the A parts. You get Tech_Weapon_10 by invasion (Part A and Part B ), you can use/sell it, but you need to research all the

Thanks. It's different ways of seeing things, none is better than the other in absolute. I prefer to see information directly rather than being forced to display tooltips in the four corners of the screen, or to go to another screen. The solution may be a customizable user interface (show this info here, do not show this info), so everybody is happy. For planets class and free tiles. When the player cycle planets, it's more convenient to look directly

Hi to the Stardock team, to all the founders and others ;-) So here are my first impressions after 2 hours of play, and some suggestions. All the numbers and names used are for explanation only. A) Image 001. Link: http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/9805/f7dc.png <img s

Why not a system who needs some points of research (a few percent), for each technology completed (and owned by trade, invasion, etc.), a sort of cost for knowledge maintain. Each technology owned, decreases slowly the research capacity. The player must invest in additional laboratories to maintain its research capacity at the same level. Example: Research capacity: 1000 points research. Research cost of technology: 1000 points research. Cost of mainta

Thanks for your comments... ...it's never too late... ;) I also hope some developers will take a look at this thread. Another one... 37) Trade - (picture 37). Well, I downloaded the DL english version with SDC without problem (not yet installed). Now, I have a technical question concerning the payment by Paypal, must I have the same e-mail address for my PayPal account and my Stardock account, or could it be clarified during the payment?

Thanks for the links and the advice. Yes, I prefer to play in french, so this can be useful. ;) My DL version is v1.4x, (box version updated with galactic_civilizations_ii_dread_lords_patch_v1.40x_multi-langues_26993.exe). I will try to download the english version with SDC (or may be Impulse) to check my serial id, and if it works, I will go certainly for this pack: Galactic Civilizations II - Expansion Bundle $44.95 [Digital Download Only] [link="https://www.ga

So, here is my problem. I would like to buy DA and TA expansions, but I have no credit card, so no Paypal account, and no international payments. Does Stardock might consider accepting payment via Moneybookers.com, for a purchase at Stardock store, and/or for buying tokens at TotalGaming.net? I have not yet an Moneybookers account, but it's possible to upload funds via bank transfert, credit cards, eurocheque (at least for United Kingdom and for France). Anothe

First of all, sorry for my English... GalCiv 2 is a great game (thanks to Stardock team) and is really time consuming (one more turn)... I would like to propose some ideas to improve the user interface and to reduce micromanagement. As my English is bad, I will illustrate my post to improve comprehension, by advance, sorry for the poverty of the comments... All these remarks are based on DL v1.4x (French version), I doubt that a new patch is proposed for DL, so all the su
