If you like it hiding off screen and needing to be moused over to get it to reappear then what you can do is use the slider near the bottom of the config window and adjust the amount of time it is set to take to reappear. if you'd rather it just hid behind other apps but was still showing on the desktop when you shrink those apps down then set it to "Hide in background when not in use" and set the slider to "Disabled" and now that I typed all of that I think of
Win 7 may not have 'Quick Launch' anymore, but showing "Desktop" (Propeties, Toolbars) on your taskbar pretty much gives you access to all your most used apps and folders
Only if you keep all of that on the desktop [e digicons];)[/e]
*Edit* Even better, here's an article on how to add the proper Windows Quick Launch to Win 7... link
That was perfect. glad that helped but also to clarify:
I have noticed that it is more prevalent when the file size is large, but I really hate submitting less than high quality work. I will resize the JPEGS and try to resubmit and post back here with the results.
Now I don't know what the max file size is for submitting walls but with some of the wall packs out there I'd imagine it is set pretty high. So I don't think you need to submit the actual zip with a lowe
and no blue screens of death like I got with Vista at first.
Just the opposite for me. I never had that problem with Vista (of course I didn't get it until just before SP2) but I've had it 3 times so far this week since installing 7. Overall though it seems pretty good other than a couple of cosmetic flaws and not having the option of the quick launch anymore.

Yeah getting the same thing here. Also just went through the process of uninstalling and reinstalling messenger on my XP machine in hopes that they may have updated something in either program that would stop me from getting the Windows Live Communication Platform crash that I've been getting for months when using WLM on XP with WB running. Unfortunately not.

It could have to do with the file size and not the actual file extension. I got the same exact error 2 nights ago while uploading a screenshot. I had saved it as a high quality jpg and had tried uploading it through both pages multiple times and getting the same error you are getting. I took the file and resaved it at a slightly lesser quality which shrunk the file size a bit and then reuploaded and it went through on the first try.
I would also include the recent 'misunderstanding' (for lack of a better word) brought up in another thread as to other things that are taken into consideration. This would be an artists 'overall' involvement in the 'skinning community'. I took this to mean 'other' sites as well. Brad's recent remarks that you look for someone who 'throws in their lot' with Stardock/Wincustomize kind of threw me. Not that I have a problem with it as much as I have been operating under a different...an

Some good tips in this thread HERE and I don't know about the difference between the start menu in xp and vista/7 but here is the template that Boxxi originally posted in Reply #12 of that thread but for some reason no longer shows there.
Also wanted to make a suggestion, an option to not hide icons outside of a fence when you hide fences. Mine does this and I do not want it to. Any idea on this as well would be cool!
Right click each of the icons that you don't want to hide and the first option on the menu under Open should be "Exclude this icon from Fences' quick-hide" [e digicons];)[/e]

And just after I posted that I thought of trying something I hadn't tried before. Here is where the problem is. If you add a new category to the dock by right clicking and then going to Add> Category and choose an icon from the dialog for it it applies fine and appears as it does in the dialog window. If you drag and drop something onto the dock and then go to edit to try and use one of the included icons then it does this.
