In XP, only on certain circumstances CursorFX takes full CPU usage (examples involve browsing in certain websites) CursorXP never caused any problems in WinXP...BUT...in windows vista it makes the mouse framerate to slowdown a lot, so I think CursorFX inherits some problems from CursorXP that are noticeable in vista. I'm pretty sure about this, CursorXP in vista caused problems, when I turned it off the problem dissapeared. (this problem was more noticeable while using dual scr
Another cool feature would be to be able to allow to put "in-between" animations to go from one cursor to the other This is a feature of the cursor, not the engine. Many do jsut like you describe.
Can you point me to an example? As far as I know, if you want to do that in the actual cursor animations you'll need to include it as frames, and that means at some point you'

One more bug here...it definitely didn't happened with CursorXP I'm using Maxivista www.maxivista.com when I turn on or off the extra screen, I lose my cursorFX cursors, instead I get frozen windows cursors (when I mean frozen I mean they are stuck in the first frame) At that point, cursorFX is still running, but loading the cursors again doesn't work, then I need to close and re-load cursorFX.

Another cool feature would be to be able to allow to put "in-between" animations to go from one cursor to the other. Example, going from resize arrows to cursor. It would involve some sort of "intelligent" engine, that shows this or that in-between animations depending of which cursor you go from->to. (that way you can do morphs from cursors) Another cool idea could be to implement an alpha blending crossfade between cursors, I can imagine a really quick crossfade will look fantastic!!!

Request: Other buttons than LEFT or RIGHT support? also mousewheel support? I can imagine it would be cool, when you move the mouse wheel the cursor changes into another animation (some arrows, or an actual mouse wheel with two moving arrows with alpha) Talking about supporting other buttons, for example, one of the buttons in my mouse is configured to close any app, that's a good place to use that blue explosion animation, otherwise is too much cluttering to put it on

) The dynamic shadow engine is full of bugs, it crashed on my system (fresh install) two times when I activate it...after that seems to keep active. 2) The dynamic shadow parameters doesn't reflect in the preview window, and also they are messy, sometimes they "do something" sometimes they don't... 3) IMPORTANT I've had this issue with CursorXP too... when cursorFX is running, sometimes you can see one frame of the corresponding cursor loaded in teh standard "pointers" windows

One more thing: I'm developing cursors of 200 frames each, some metallic rotating long pyramids that progressively changes colors in time. When releasing left or right mouse (with no effect added), the cursor animation starts again, this is not desirable with long cursors, I think stardock should make that an option. Hello. I've been using CursorXP free for quite a long time, and now I just bought CursorFX, mainly to be able to use dynamic shadow. There goes my impressions: 1) The dynamic shadow engine is full of bugs, it crashed on my system (fresh install) two times when I activate it...after that seems to keep active. 2) The dynamic shadow parameters doesn't reflect in the preview window, and also they are messy, sometimes they "do something" sometimes they don't... 3) I

1) Shadow, it keeps changing everytime I update windowFX or make something like see or tweak shadow settings. For instance, if I enter the wizard, make some changes then decide to cancel, the shadows are changed and the shadow options are unavailable until I restart windowFX 2) Ability to save settings on a file, please! thanks. Mat.

I have installed Beta 3.0a from stardock central. min/max seems to work ok...and yes I know menus will not work since mozilla products use another skinning protocol, no biggie. I just want a definite answer just in case the newest beta has improvements with min/max on ffox and thunderbird.

Is there any chance to have them working fine in the future? They barely do, almost everything works, but sometimes is leaves dirt on screen or doesn't min/maximize right after some use, so I had to exclude them from winFX. BTW: WindowFX rocks, windows looks damn good with alpha blending in/out Thanks. Mat.
