Sadly, this game I'm playing the Psilons as Pacifists, slowly pulling planets down with high tech, influence based turnover.
You really played to much MoO. With psilons I guess you mean Iconians?? But on a sidenote, I would like to know how the numbers of luck work. F.e. I know luck effects your ships not rolling a hard zero when they attack ships. But with the Altarians, I chose luck, chose the universalists and researched the first special t
Not sure about TA yet, but in DA that area between 16 and 20 billion the morale starts dropping like a rock. Above 20 billion a falling rock couldn't even keep up with the rate the morale drops . Good thing is if you can get enough good bonuses to push past 25 Bil. with acceptable happiness it doesn't drop any further and you can push on to 100 bil. if you have enough room for all the farms.
Hmmm, you have any exact numbers for that? morale bonus + improvement f

The description of the Krynn counter-espionage tech has several typo's in it. The drath got healing pools, which seriously seems as a filler. Since it has no connection/lore with the drath + the drath already has got their temples. Also, it would be very nice, if you put your miners on automate, they will upgrade mining stations automatically. Which they dont atm :)
Some ramblings.I too feel that once a game has reached it's zenith, it is probably best to let it go...mostly. At least as a commercial product. ...... So my suggestion would be along the lines of a readily moddable platform (XML makes this very feasable now) - and after the half life runs out - just do major bug fixes.
I absuletely agree on this. After a game is done, you shouldnt have to add mayor features to it anymore, and you can let it go. Especia

First I want to tell the creators of this game, they did a fantastic job. All the decisions you made, were good ones, and the amount of effort that is put in communicating with the public is outstanding. I have probably played any mayor space turn-based strategy game ever created, and GalCiv is a masterpiece. I am playing obviously the iconians now, because I wanted to explore the tech tree. For starters, in the "economy tree" you got the bartering station, merchant imporium and me

Hmmm, for all you guys who are mentioning the easyness of colonizing mars for instance or any other given planet. They are hugely mistaken and give misguided facts. Hydroponic farms and plants? Well to begin with, there were simulations on earth with pure selfsustaining domes, which you can refer to as Hydroponic farms. 2 of these projects failed miserably, and till now no project has met a succesfull outcome yet. A "simple" ecosystem is very hard to emulate, and not o

Hmm, last time i played a game, where it was possible for me to put taxes to 100%, and ended up with around 69% approval. However this was with all the morale technologies researched and 2 morale mining resources, in a large galaxy. However i had max 2 morale centers on a planet, and that was only on very high pq planets with 21b population. Be sure you never let your population go higher then 21b. Because after 21b your morale drops in such a way, it cant be fixed in any way.<

Ok, actually the only thing that really bugs the shit out of me, is the pq4 near your homeplanet. K sometimes its a pq5, and in a rare circumstance 6. But hell, it is totally useless. It always seems scripted so it never has any beneficial tiles, and it is a PQ4!!! I seldomly colonize it immediately, but the fucked up thing is, your opponents do colonize it. And therefor, you have to waste a colony ship. Because during colony rushes i try to shield opponents f

Hmmm, i noticed recently, i played the altarians with another stat in luck + the universalists as party. Somewhere in the game, i found my first "lucky Ranger". They called it that way, and after that every 8 turns or so, i found another "lucky Ranger". Needless to say i rolled pretty much over my enemies. This all happened in 1.0 Dreadlords though, cant say for sure if they changed that in the newest patches

YES! Finally someone else who has exactly the same problem. I have the same problem, but not at all the same configuration. To make matters worse, i know play version 1.0 of Dread Lords. After the installation of DA, well, Dread Lords also ****** up. Majorly!

Because of some kind of problem with the latest patches, i am unable to play any patch beyond the original 1.0 There are a great deal of special technologies out there. Like telepathic defense, subspace rebounder, i once researched some kind of organic armor, and another couple of those technologies. However none of these technologies appear up in my ship design menu. Now im wondering, can some1 tell me the stats of these technologies, and tell me if there is a way of editing a

hmm, moosetek is it possible if you would post the entire line-up of text concerning the neutrality learning centers for me. I cant play any updates for galciv2 at the moment, and at 1.0 it seems they are impossible to create at all. Tnx in advance

Hey, i already made a post about my problems earlier in the "known issues sticky". However i wanted to add something. I play now the unpatched unregistered version again. And it works perfectly. However if i patch to any given patch that has come out, i get the same old "freezes after 5 seconds problem". Any idea what could cause this problem due to a "fix" in the current patches given example 1.1 to 1.4?? Maybe this will help you guys a bit

Hello, i recently purchased Galciv2 and the expansion beta of DA. Before this, i played galciv2 and i found it a great game. However except for some random errors, i could play the game pretty normally. After i purchased it, and patched both games, i began having total freezes after i began playing the game for less then 3 minutes. Hell it even happens when i browse through the race screens. When a freeze like this occurs, my entire computer is frozen and i have to hard reboot

I admit that to be able to give out penalties would be a nice option. However, it has it's disadvantages to. 1. It is hard to balance out races then. 2. One of the fun and great things about Galciv is the "simplicity". Meaning, that if you ever played Masters of Orion 3, you will know what i mean. The worst part of MoO 3 was the almost endless amount of windows you had to cross through to effectively play the game. It became more like an emulation game, then the game i

Well my point is indeed that you can easily get their techs, only from minor races ofc. They severily will lack diplomatic and economic techs. With a diplomatic advantage it is easier and cheaper to get their techs. Also i noticed that any non-normal world, will not give any industrial production? or has a great penalty? Is this always the case, or does it change with the second tech?

Hey, i recently purchased DA to. One of the first new (and very nice) updates, are the different kind of planets you can colonize now. There is however, a drawback in the AI which i noticed after a few games. The AI seems to focus their research first on planet colonization techs. This may seem logical because they can win the colony rush quicker. However i began leaping forward in techs pretty quickily. After 1 year i had a technology rating of 219. I like to
