I have the same problem. Its a game I've been calling "find the bar". If I run my mouse slowly over the edge of all screens, I will eventually get the bar to pop-up. Its not resticted to 2 monitor setups. When I disconnect my other monitor and reboot, it can still happen.

I thought I'd revisit objectbar with the new version. I made a bar and it works, yay. However, I can't figure out how to make the system tray filter (auto-hide) open the hidden icons to the left instead of the right. What I mean is, right now, the bar grows to the right when I click the expand button. How do I make it expand to the left? As for some piccadillos, I clicked the check to make the bar respond to the windows key but its not working. Actually, no hot key I set (and I tried

That was tounge-in-cheek, right Jafo? Because if you're serious, well then don't be ridiculous. I mean let me start a list of things users here would (and if you check the logs I will bet that have) searched for that would not appear in a title and they would not find: 1) black in the windblinds library 2) transparancy in any library If you don't get it why not try this. I saw a wallpaper that featured a ladybug and the ladyb

If you want widgets, Avedesk (which also has a tabbed dock widget like objectdock plus), konfabulator/yahoo widgets, samurize, and there are things like sysstats which plugs into just about everything. Konfabulator has thousands of widgets and is the engine I prefer, eventhough I bought objectdesktop. I find both avedesk and knofabulator better than desktopX for widgets (stability and variety of widget choice). You might want to head over to deviantart

You just need to go to the Gallery and select the Sysmetrix section and type crux in the search box. Hit go and voila there you have it. WWW Link. Just a matter of getting used to the search function. Sorry, you misunderstand. Anyone (even my 8 yr old cousin) can find a skin once they have a title. Th

Wincustomize is missing the most important thing, a decent search function. I would hope that would be your focus on any upgrades. Let me give you an example I just ran into. I am looking for a sysmetrix skin that was designed for the right corner. I put in right corner, right, and corner but got only a couple of hits. I went to deviant art and got more than a dozen hit

I am too new to say yet wether it is worth it or not, but I am leaning towards yes. However, I would like to say that the free version is not a trial. IMO, they are totally different. I think this is a bad practice of stardock. Using the free version and reading the comparison page, it seems like OD plus can be a real taskbar replacement. I am dissapointed to discover that the reality is that it really can't unless you are willing to sacrifice basic functionality. Let me give you a couple of exa

I am using 1.30 plus and I have the same problem! I am very new to objectdock but I can say the free version is really not a trial as they are totally different. Just today I emptied my trashbin from objectdock and the dialogue told me it would take 8 minutes. It actually took almost 15. Granted, there was alot of stuff there as I had two acronis images I deleted in there. Still, before objectdock that would've taken no more than a minute. I have one question for you Shadowkahn, are yo

It would be nice if could manually edit list of systray apps to display (i.e. hide/unhide). This way those people who have a lot of apps running don't have a object bar many screens long, hehe. Couldn't agree with this more .

I wish I could have been more help though. I never used the seperator so I had no idea it wasn't even showing up in the docks. But like I said, what I did was make one and put it in there but couldn't see it...so I made a bigger and still couldn't see it. I even pulled one from another dock and tried that...still nothing. Not at all! Just knowing

First, let me just say thank you so much for the ecliz docks! Second, all I can say is: wow! I get a response from the creator of the skin, I am just totally blown away, thank you so much webgizmos! I am very new to objectdock so I just assumed the reason I couldn't remove the seperator was that there was no image so objectdock didn't know what I was trying to grab . I should've realized it'd be more complex

I've been trying a few different backgrounds and it seems, beides from the eminence docks, the rest of them don't have a seperator. I didn't think this was a big deal till I tried to remove a seperator . Its impossible! Everytime I try and grab a hold of it and drag it off the dock, it just moves the dock. So I took a look at the inis for the docks I have decided to use, ecliz by webgizmos, and there is a sect

Ok I took a trial and error course in Desktop X. Ouch. I got it working but its not the autohide I was looking for. Not to hide the whole thing from the desktop but to autohide specific icons based on my settings in taskbar properties. Seems Objectbar is the only way to really do this (it seems to support the autohide like the taskbar) but I have to take a break . Anyway I read that the new objectbar will be

I must be getting better at object desktop because I was thinking along the same lines. But using a transparent objectdock for the system tray. However, it didn't work as I wanted because the autohide option isn't avalible. Can desktopX create a systemtray that can autohide icons? The problem is I have alot of systemtray icons (like around 50). I originally put them all in desktop sidebar but it was unattra

Thanks Bichur. I made the post over in skinstudio and they reffered me back to objectbar . However, they said that objectbar doesn't support transparency, so I basically wasted my time last night . Maybe there is some other work around I will keep looking. Sorry, I ment desktopX was useless for me. Konfabulator a

I am a total noob. So far I've been able to use skinstudio to replace start button images. That's about it but I have skimmed the online manual. What I want to do is remove or hide the taskbar from Eclize Deluxe 2 (which is an awesome skin). So there is just a big empty space between my start button and the system tray. Is there an easy way to do this? Or is skinstudio not the app for this? Or is it so difficult that I should just give up now? Thanks!

Thanks Bichur! I see, its the unlimited downloads that comes with Object desktop. I was thinking it was integration into stardock central. No problem, that part is working fine . I gave up on desktopX as useless. The themes are nice and all but they really don't function without alot of work. Since I already use sidebar, a wallpaper rotator and konfabulator (which really are all better apps for widgets) desk

Thanks! I spent today sifting through wincustomize. I spent an hour futzing with it and creating different accounts trying to get the subscribed features. Nothing works. I think maybe they are no longer offering a sub with purchase of Object desktop 2007? Can anyone confirm? If so thats a shame. I would not pay the $20 cold without seeing how it works in my stardock central. In the demo I don't see any reason to subscribe so I can only imagine what $20 would give me and I am imagining nothing.<b

I just bought object desktop yesterday so I am a total noob. I did search this forum but didn't find this answer. I would like to create a taskbar that only contains the start button, then a big space, and the system tray. Or, alternatively, make the taskbar transparent and the system tray and start button opaque (not transparent). However, I would like to keep the system tray's ability to auto hide icons. Is there a way to do this? Pointing me to a page in the manual, or reffering me to another
